Chapter Twenty Two - We'll Shoot Back Holy Water Part Eight

I lost track of where a few of the members went, it didn't concern me though. Not trying to sound like an asshole, I don't want anyone of the group to die. That's not my style, but if one of them did in order to protect Shattered, I could live with that. No one knows my love for her, it is unbearable.

My plan was going perfect, I couldn't help in the fight though. I just wanted Shattered to be safe, once she is out if harms way then the rest of my plan can unfold. The key players in this are Aleck, Shattered, Dramatic and myself. I was watching everything from the roof of the church.

The hoards of vampires continued to come, but the group fought strong and didn't lose themselves. I scanned to see where my players were. Aleck had Shattered and Dramatic was killing. Shattered used her scream earlier, we all had expected that to start the battle.

What I wasn't expecting was Aleck growing angry and beating her. I watched as he punched and kicked her, right then I decided I wanted to be the one to kill Aleck. Other things started to happen that I didn't include in my plan. However, as long as Shattered was alive I didn't care about the rest.

She was my goal of this battle, and afterwards I would take her away from this group. We would go back to Battery City, live safe and smart. Shattered would be a normal person again, she would have a normal name and we'd live together happily. That's what the whole point of this was, to get Shattered and get away.

Of course I know she wouldn't be happy at first, leaving her friends behind but she could make new friends. Things would be perfect for us and I hoped she would see that. My eyes searched the battle ground, Shattered was no longer next to Aleck.

This means Unbroken got her away, but where did she move her? I searched until I saw her and what looked like Horror behind two boulders. Another thing I didn't expect, I thought she would be alone but it would work out. I started to make my way from the roof, time to finish this.

As I reached the ground floor, I heard talking. It was Party and Kobra. "We fight together, we ride together, Killjoys for life."

"Killjoys for life." They left, leaving a wounded Tiger on one of the pews. I leaned in close to her, she was a strong one, just like Shattered. Some of her hair had fallen onto her face, I gently brushed it away. Then I got closer, my hand on the pew, I wanted to kiss her.

Before I did a sharp pain came from my finger. I lifted up my hand, there sitting on the pew next to Tiger was that stupid turtle Sheldon. It had bit me, then it hissed at me and stuck its tongue out. I didn't have time for stupid games, even though my head came up with different ways to make turtle soup.

I ran outside, time to finish my plan and begin a new life. Skye was fighting the vampires like no one else, she was furious. They took her partner away and had tortured him. She would be a force to deal with, but I wasn't the one to deal with her.

I nearly blacked out from the pain, Aleck wouldn't stop hitting me. He made sure not to touch my stomach, which I was thankful for. Suddenly the kicks and punches stopped, Horror was now on top of Aleck. "Shattered, come on. I'm getting you out of here."

Unbroken took me and made us both invisible. She basically had to drag me because I couldn't move. We found a safe spot behind two boulders, "what about Phoenix?"

"Skye's on that one, she says she has something major planned."

"Is everyone okay?"

"Everyone is still alive, we're not losing anyone. Stay here and just try to relax, I'll be back." She left me lying there on the desert floor. What would happen now? What did Skye have planned? A sharp pain shot through my body, I placed my hand on my stomach.

The baby was kicking hard, I still couldn't believe I was with child. I wonder how Wretched would take this? Thinking about him kept me going and Phoenix's words of encouragement. Someone was coming, but I couldn't move.

Suddenly Unbroken and Horror appeared out of nowhere. "You scared me."

"Horror stay with her and protect her." He leaned against one of the boulders. I felt so weak, but I managed to grab his hand in mine. He lifted me up so my head was on his lap.

I took his hand again, he had to know just how much help I needed. He looked confused at first in why I placed his hand on my stomach. The baby must have kicked hard enough and soon his eyes widen. "Shattered, are you pregnant?"

I nodded slowly, "we have to get you out of here. Maybe I can did Wretched, he should be here." My eyes started to get heavy and I was drifting away. As my eyes slowly closed I saw a black figure come towards us.

"Horror." I pointed but it was too late. Whoever this was struck Horror unconscious. He bent down and revealed his face. "You? What are you doing? You're suppose to be....." My exhaustion won and by the time I woke up, I was strapped to another table.

Where was I? Why am I here? What was happening? How did I get here? Who was behind all this? As if my brain sent out messages to everyone, my questions were about to be answered. "Hello, I see you're awake. Now we can fully begin."
