Chapter Eighteen - We'll Shoot Back Holy Water Part Four

I heard Shattered scream, Aleck was attacking her. Hitting her repeatedly, this ends now. It was my turn to do something. The plan was for me to use my gift and sneak Shattered away. "Horror, it's time. Let's move!"

With a little practice I learned that I could make anyone I touched invisible too. So with Horror's hand in mine I closed my eyes and concentrated. When I opened them back up we were both invisible. "This feels really weird."

"You'll get use to it, now let's move." We went out of the crowd of the fight and moved towards Aleck and Shattered. Not going straight towards them but making it behind them. When we got close enough I would make Horror visible again and he would distract Aleck.

This would give me enough time to grab Shattered and take her to safety. Quickly we made our way to Aleck, I watched him hit my friend. Kicking her legs and punching her face. My anger was starting to build and I decided I wasn't going to let him go easy.

Keeping both Horror and I invisible, we snuck up to Aleck. Horror and I kept our hands locked, he lifted me up so I could power kick Aleck. When I did he fell to the ground, our hands released causing Horror to go back as visible. Wrapping my hands around Shattered's I made her invisible.

She was barely breathing, shallow breaths but I knew she would survive this. I took her to a safe place away from the fighting. Then I became visible again, along with Shattered. Where was Wretched? I tried searching for him but with no success.

"Shattered? Can you hear me?" I very soft and quiet sound came from her lips signaling me a yes. "You'll be okay, you're safe now." Now I had to go back and make sure Horror was okay. I made my way back to where Aleck and some of his men were.

Two vamps were holding Phoenix in place, there was no way I could free him right now. My heart sank and not being able to help but we had a plan to get him free. I searched frantically for Horror but couldn't see him. Suddenly his scream echoed my ears, and I watched as Aleck slashed him.

"Horror!" I moved as quickly as I could to get to him. Aleck couldn't see me and as he turned to grab something I made Horror invisible with me. We watched as Aleck turned back around and noticed not only was he gone but so was Shattered. He let out a high pitches screech.

Unbroken let go of my hand, I gave her a look telling her to get Shattered away. With Aleck on the ground, I took this moment to start hitting him. I was out of stakes so I couldn't kill him, but if I could distract him long enough then someone else could come. The plan was for Skye to burn the parasites to the ground, but we had to make sure Phoenix and Shattered were safe first.

Aleck was just taking my punches and kicks, I lost my concentration when I heard Deathwish scream out in pain. I tried searching for her but couldn't see with the hoards of vampires everywhere. Aleck took this chance and with his long sharp nails, slashed me across the chest.

I heard Unbroken scream my name as I fell to my knees. He turned around to grab what looked like a sword, it was wrapped in a velvet cloth. Unbroken wrapped herself around me, we disappeared from sight as Aleck turned back around. Not only did he notice I was gone but also Shattered wasn't there. His loud screech echoed throughout the desert.

With Unbroken's help we made our way to Shattered. I was going to stand guard and watch over her, it was suppose to be Wretched but he was nowhere to be seen. Unbroken and I kissed and she ran off back into the fight, I prayed that everyone survives this.

I heard movement around us, I readied my raygun just in case. Someone was definitely coming closer, my mind thought it would be vampires but my heart said friends. I sat there and waited to see who would show but it was almost like they were stalking us.

My chest was on fire from the scratches, I took a drink from my flask to help the pain. We were hidden behind two large boulders, I couldn't see the fight but could hear it. I was too focused on the noises that I didn't see Shattered grab my hand and it made me jump.

"Shattered?" I moved her closer to me, holding her on my lap. There was blood all over her, her clothes were just soaking in it. She needed help and fast, I felt her hand on mine again. This time she moved my hand on her stomach, I didn't know why until I felt the movement.
