Chapter Seventeen - We'll Shoot Back Holy Water Part Three

I'd be lying if I didn't say I am extremely excited about killing some vampires. Ever since I was a little boy, watching scary movies. Who knew all those hours were not wasted, they actually helped. I felt quite pleased with myself, there's a reason I'm called Fun Ghoul.

I had Harlequin by my side, at first I thought being coupled together was a bad idea. However, it makes the most since. Especially when coupled with your partner. If anything was to happen, we couldn't blame someone else for not looking out for them.

Of course nothing was going to happen to my beautiful Harlequin. If someone looked at me while fighting, they would think I was crazy. I have this giant grin on my face and just because of my dreams coming true. Harlequin has been sending me messages, little cute and funny things.

I loved her ability, we could talk without speaking. To me, it's much more romantic to be connected like that. She would hear my thoughts and then send her messages to me telepathically. It also helped when it came down to talking about my time as a BLI Drac.

Besides the other guys who went through the same thing I did, Harlequin was the only person I told about what happened. Everyone thinks we just forgot, like we were in a dream state when we had the masks on. I wish it was that simple, we could see and hear everything but it was distorted.

The only I was able to tell her was from her reading my mind, it was horrible. I still have nightmares but Harlequin has been by my side. She knows just what to do in order to make me better. As I grabbed a stake and shoved it into a vampire she sent me a message.

"I vonder if that vas Count Dracula." She even added the accent, changing the "w" to a "v". Harlequin understood my passions, accepted them and was now joining in them. While we had a short break I grabbed her and pulled her in close.

"I vant to suck your blood." With that said I moved her head for access to her neck and kissed it. Without breaking the kiss I grabbed a stake and shoved it backwards. A vampire screamed out, I was awesome.

"Vampire, coming right behind you." He never stopped kissing but he somehow spiked the vampires heart. I knew he would brag about this later, "come on Ghoul." It didn't seem these vampires were stopping. Would we ever get close enough to Aleck?

I sent out a wide message to everyone, "we need to get to Aleck. He won't wait much longer." With the help of Ghoul I made my way closer to Aleck, hoping I could read his mind. There were a few vamps we took out, but we were being swift and using stealth.

Soon enough I heard Aleck's voice in my head. "I'm growing bored with this petty fight. Shattered is mine, and so I shall make it final. This ends now." Oh no, he's going to bite her now, we have to stop him. I sent out another wide message to everyone.

"Aleck's going to attack, he's not waiting any longer." Ghoul came up with a plan.

"Distract him, send a message to him only. Just give us a little more time, we can't lose this fight." I nodded and started to think about what I would say to him. Slowly I got closer, motioning for Ghoul to stay behind. If this was to work, Aleck and I needed to be alone.

I got as close as I felt was needed and closed my eyes. My mind was focused on Aleck. "Aleck, stop." My eyes opened to see him confused and looking around. "You don't want her, she's nothing." Deep down I hope no one else could eat this because of course I didn't mean any of it.

"She's worthless, her ability hurts you and is weak. I can make you happy, I'm powerful just like her if not more." His eyes looked around until he spotted me, his lips turned up into an evil grin.

"You have telepathic ability, as do I. Your attempts are honorable but stupid, Shattered is mine. Now run along and die with your friends." With that he turned back to Shattered, her eyes filled with tears. She was trying to get loose but it wasn't working.

"Shattered?" Her eyes met mine, good she can hear me. "Shattered don't give up, when he gets close enough, head butt him. You can do it, just stay strong." She nodded and waited for Aleck to get closer.

He picked her up off the ground and held her tight, I could hear everything. "Now is the time, you can watch your friends die by your hands." I watched hoping Shattered would fight back and of course she did. First she knees him in his groin and then smacked heads. He was pissed and started hitting her until she was down to the ground, we have to hurry.
