Despite the obvious tension between the Queen and you, the two of you somehow managed to remain civil. You knew that the only reason for such politeness was due to the fact that both of you would never see each other again after this whole ordeal. Thus, you kept your distance from the woman while you waited for the twins. Honestly, though, you were dreading their return at the same time. A proper greeting in the twins' mind could mean relatively anything, and you were beginning to regret your rushed words. The two jesters had once again cornered you into an unpleasant position.

When at last you saw the two twins emerge from the wheat fields off to the left side of the city gates, you mentally sighed in relief at seeing them fully dressed. Frankly, the image of what they were wearing previously refused to leave your mind, much to your annoyance. Thus, for the first few seconds that you looked at them, a tint of red covered your cheeks. Thankfully, you managed to get the blush to dissipate before they could notice it.

With regards to their new attire, however, Heart wore a royal blue peasant shirt and black pants with blue combat boots. The silver hoop, in his left ear, had been replaced by a blue sapphire post in the shape of a heart. Concerning his twin, Diamond had on his black tailcoat, with gold diamond-shaped buttons, which covered a crimson colored v-neck. Grey skinny jeans covered his legs while he kept on his red heeled dress shoes. He now wore two ruby posts, in the shapes of diamonds, in each ear. Moreover, each brother had their own king's weapon back. Likewise, they had their characteristic face paint back on.

"Well, my dear lady, where is that greeting we were promised?" Heart questioned with a smirk on his face.

"I never said when I would uphold my statement. Granted, I did mention I would do so after you two decided to put on something respectable, but I didn't say when after. Thus, I don't have to do such a thing right now," you remarked with a grin of your own on your countenance.

"Hmm, I suppose you are right, Miss _____. Beginning to play words games with us, are you?" Diamond inquired with a look of intrigue on his face.

"Of course, you two aren't the only ones who have a way with words," you commented, wearing an air of confidence about you.

"Are we really going to allow this, Diamond?" Heart asked, moving closer to his brother.

You couldn't hear what Diamond's reply was due to him whispering his response. Frankly, you did become worried, though, when you saw Heart's lips stretch into a wide grin. That was not a good sign in the slightest. Mumbling a few curse words, you turned on your heel and signaled for the Queen to show you where Kinete was. She displayed no resistance in carrying on with her task, since she just wanted to get this over with. Thus, you followed after her guards and her while the brothers schemed something in private. If only you could hear them, but they were staying behind you just enough, so that you couldn't eavesdrop on their conversation.

Huffing in irritation at this, you just walked on ahead and did your best to ignore them. In order to help with this plan, you focused on the path in front of you, as the Queen led all of you to the edge of the land mass. Occasionally, however, you would look over one of your shoulders to see what the twins were up to, but you would always find them whispering among themselves. Combing your right fingers through your (h/c) locks, you groaned in frustration. Those two would never cease to mess with you.

Once all six of you reached the end of the land mass, the Queen reached into a hidden pocket in her autumn colored dress and pulled out a whistle. It was a simple red hued whistle with miniature orange wings decorating the sides of it. Instead of blowing on it herself, she turned around and tossed it to you. Barely catching the whistle due to her purposeful terrible throw, you gave her a puzzled look.

"The ship won't reveal itself if I blow on it. Only an outsider can summon the ship. I'm only the protector of the whistle. Neither my recent ancestors nor I have figured out the reasoning behind this, but I presume it has something to do with a very late ancestor of mine and the first outsider that came to Rinned. Regardless, blow on it."

Assuming that there was an airship hiding in the clouds, you decided to just give the whistle a try. After wiping the lip piece on the front of your shirt, you brought it to your lips and blew. A soft tune resonated from the whistle while you could see the clouds shifting out of the way below the land mass. Their movement mirrored that of orange waves rolling calmly across the ocean due to the orange rays of the setting sun. What came out of their depths, though, was something spectacular.

By now, the brothers were standing at your sides, with Heart on your left and Diamond on your right. Parting the whistle from your lips, you let a small gasp of wonderment escape your mouth, as a grand airship came into view. Bearing the structure of a ship similar to Captain Nichola's, the ship differed in its color choices. Beige sails highlighted the masts, mizzen, bowsprit and jibboom of the aircraft. Canons were prominent in the gun port while the figurehead was a simple maiden holding a rose. Furthermore, the colors of beige and pale red decorated the exterior of the ship. Lastly, the ship supported itself in the air through the use of two large white feathered wings coming out of its sides. The wings moved up and down, holding the ship in place.

"This is how we'll reach Kinete," the Queen announced before her guards and she boarded the ship, which hovered just below the land mass and permitted one to step onto the quarterdeck with ease.

Before you stepped onto the ship, you glanced between the brothers and inquired, "Mind telling me what you two were so enthusiastically discussing on our way here?"

"That will ruin the surprise, my dear lady," Heart answered with a childish grin on his face.

"What if I don't care? I'm fine with you two unveiling the surprise for me, so tell me what you two have planned."

"I'm afraid we can't do that, Miss _____. Spoiling a wonderful present isn't our cup of tea," Diamond added with a casual shrug of his shoulders.

"Of course, it isn't," you mumbled in vexation, as you boarded the vessel and left the brothers to grin among themselves.

Traveling from the quarterdeck and onto the main deck, you looked over the wooden railing and down into the clouds below. To be honest, you were quite excited to ride an airship. Moreover, you were hoping that it would go quite fast, so that you could go racing through the clouds. A childish smile graced your lips at the thought, as you leaned over the rail just a bit and reached out to touch the clouds. Your fingers could feel the moisture buildup in the clouds, as you continued to smile at the thought that you were hovering in the clouds.

"Get too close and someone might push you off, outsider," the Queen mentioned, as she went by you.

"True and someone might throw you off into the abyss of possible monsters below. I would hate for you to have such a fate, your highness," you retorted, your voice dripping with sarcasm.

Frowning at your comment, she looked away from you and held her head up high before making her way over to the forecastle deck. Rolling your eyes at the Queen, who had a pleasant personality for the first few seconds of your meeting with her before it turned unbearable, you glanced over to your left. Noticing that the brothers were now aboard, you wondered how you were supposed to get this thing to take you to Kinete.

"Now what?" you asked of the Queen.

"From what I learned from my ancestors, you need to go to the wheel and steer."

"Thanks for the help," you muttered in a sardonic voice, as you went back up to the quarterdeck and were met by the brothers.

Each stepped away from the wheel before giving you a slight bow. Sending them each a glare at their mockery of you, you faced the wheel of the ship and rested the palms of your hands on it. After calling out to Queen Octavia and informing her that you would need her guidance on how to get to Kinete, she gave you a simple nod of the head before pointing downwards with her right index finger. Of course, you knew that you needed to go, but the problem was how to do so. The wheel didn't exactly have a down direction. Looking around the area, you didn't see anything until you heard the brothers cough behind you.

Peering over your left shoulder before doing the same with your right, you noticed that each brother was leaning on a lever. Seeing this, you turned around completely and read the words inscribed on the ground by the levers. Next to the left one, which Heart was leaning on, the word "up" was written. It was the opposite for Diamond. Thus, you signaled the red-haired male to pull on the lever. Upon doing so, the wings on the ship started to carry the ship forward a bit before turning downward. Once it completed this motion, the ship took off into the clouds, leaving the land mass and the orange sunset behind. As it zoomed lower into the cloud cover, the wind whipped past your face, blowing your (h/c) hair back fiercely. A loud cry of glee and childish pleasure left your lips, as you let the adrenaline pump through your veins. This ride was proving to be quite exhilarating.
