After the fight with Oriana and viewing the worlds beyond Province, you opened a portal leading back to the castle. Upon arrival in the entrance hall, all of you were greeted by Woodlily and Aberrous. The amount of questions the little faerie threw at you three was quite overwhelming, and the brothers had to tell her to wait until morning, since you three had arrived back home at eleven in the evening. Thus, since both brothers were aware of your energy depletion, Heart carried you up to the room you three shared. Once you hit the soft surface of the bed, you were fast asleep, and the brothers soon joined you.

The first week following your return consisted of you talking directly to Fade, Aberrous and Woodlily, while you sent letters out to Clarencia and Rollta. There was no need to send an extra to Geela, since she lived with her mother. Everyone seemed to have similar reactions upon hearing what had happened. Gasps and words of shock and amazement overwhelmed all else. Most were intrigued in the history of the world as well as the fact that you had married the twins. It seemed all questions pertained to that information for several of days, so you were thankful once all of your friends calmed down. Likewise, you could tell that the brothers were glad as well. They just wanted to have you back to themselves.

Still, there was one bit of information that you had learned from one of your friends. Apparently, Fade was visiting Pine Hills, while the three of you were gone. You hadn't heard of this place beforehand, since at the time you were being held captive, so your petite friend gave you description of the area. After doing so, you had asked the purpose of such visits. It was the first time you had seen the girl blush, as far as you could remember, and it was adorable. While twiddling her thumbs, she mentioned a man, who went by the name of Rivin, and stated that they had been getting closer ever since her second trip through there. Moreover, she added the fact that they had been sending letters to each other ever since the battle with Umelius was over. In all honesty, you could only congratulate and tease her; it was too tempting not to after all.

Thus, Fade left the next day to go to her home, since she figured she might have a letter waiting for her. You could only chuckle at this before saying your goodbyes. Once she was gone, though, you turned around and found the brothers in the entrance hall with you. Heart was wearing black lounge pants and a light blue v-neck, while a silver hoop was in his left ear. Blue slippers rested on his feet. Diamond wore a similar outfit, though; the blue slippers and articles of clothing were replaced with red ones. Likewise, he had gold hoops in both ears.

"I suppose you two want to do something," you voiced, as you crossed your arms over your chest.

"Of course, we do. We want to play a game with you, since it's been awhile," Heart commented before appearing right in front of you. "You've been too busy with others, so you better entertain us well, my dear lady," he added before flicking you in the forehead with his right index finger.

Sending him a small glare, you heard Diamond say, "You're forgetting something first, brother." Diamond soon stood next to his brother and lifted up a familiar necklace in his hands. With no hesitation, he clasped it around your neck and stated, "Perfect."

Rolling your eyes at this, you responded, "What did you two want to play, and what's the wager?"

"We wish to keep this simple, Miss _____. A game of hide and seek will suffice. If you lose, you become the servant to the victor for the whole day. Likewise, if you win, we'll become your servants for the day."

"Fine, how long do I have to hide, and what's the time limit for one of you to find me?"

"You'll have ten minutes to find a hiding place. Our time limit is two hours, since the castle is so big," Heart answered, pushing back a few strands of his blue hair behind his right ear.

Nodding in response, they closed their eyes and began the countdown. Since they never excluded you from hiding outside, you went for the dining room and opened one of the windows. Climbing outside, you quietly shut the window behind you and headed for the wall surrounding the castle. Hoisting yourself up and over the wall, you landed on the grass on the other side and sat down. You doubted they would check outside, so now you just had to wait two hours. It would be boring, but it was better than becoming one of their servants. Frankly, you had some ideas of what they may try to do, and you didn't want any of those options to happen.

Thus, you leaned back against the wall and looked out over the grasslands. A gentle breeze swept over the area, causing the emerald blades to sway back and forth. It was rather peaceful, and you felt a smile tug at your lips. You were just so glad to be back and to just relax. Well, relax as much as you could with two obsessive husbands wanting your attention nearly every minute. Glancing down at the carved ring on your left ring finger, though, you smiled more. The three of you had survived so many things that it almost seemed unreal, and now you all could take a break from crazy adventures. Even in this break, though, you still met the unexpected the next day. Never could you tell what the brothers had planned next, and you had to admit that it was somewhat exciting to be faced with something new each morning.

Letting your arms fall down by your sides, you stared up at the sky. The weird night-day beams of light cascaded down towards the plains, as they broke occasionally through the cloud cover. It was odd to think that a little over a week ago; you were up in space, looking down at Province. Still, you could travel back up to Jisef any time now, but you would need a long break from that place. Even though the brothers and you had buried Oriana on the moon in an unmarked grave, you still wouldn't be able to enter that throne room for awhile.

Hugging your black jacket to you, since the breeze was cold occasionally, you focused your gaze back on the grasslands. You were quite thankful that you had worn a long-sleeve purple sweater today along with black skinny jeans and black combat boots. Thinking that you might as well take a nap while you wait, you went to close your eyes only to hear something thud on the ground nearby. Swiftly, you rested your hands on the tops of your daggers, which were strapped to your hips. Luckily, your shoulder was almost healed again.

Approaching the source of the sound cautiously, you turned the corner of the wall and were shocked by what you saw. Collapsed on the grass was a small boy covered in multiple cuts. Concern washed over you, and you turned him over to see more cuts on his body. He looked to be about eight years old, but he could potentially be older in this world; you never knew. Regardless, you couldn't leave him out here to die, since you could still see his chest rising up and down. Seeing some blood running down his face, you pushed back his orange bangs and saw a large cut on his forehead. Cursing slightly, you glanced around the plains for any source of his attacker.

Squinting, you could see something in the distance. Running at full speed were four creatures, which looked like miniature versions of tigers. Their pelts were blue with black stripes, and sapphire blue eyes were filled with hunger. How did the kid, now in your arms, escape those? Figuring that you would ask the boy later, you unsheathed your daggers and prepared for a fight. Granted, you heard a familiar voice behind you.

"It would seem that I found you, Miss _____, and just in time it seems," Diamond said, walking up beside you, before casting his gaze at the boy on the ground. "I take it you want to help him."

"You can't expect me to leave an injured child out on the grasslands," you remarked, picking the boy up in your arms. "So, you'll deal with those?"

"You're supposed to be my servant, and now you're ordering me around, Miss _____? No matter, take him inside and explain the situation to my brother if you see him before I do."

Nodding you headed inside and went towards the kitchen to ask for Aberrous's help. The amphibian didn't put up any protest, as he helped you place the boy on the kitchen island before treating the boy's wounds. When the two of you finished, Aberrous left the kitchen, since both brothers now entered. At the same time, the boy's eyes steadily opened, revealing chocolate brown orbs. Fear crossed into his eyes, as he saw the three of you staring down at him. Before you could even calm him down, Diamond spoke first.

"How did you escape those skigers, child?"

Scooting away somewhat from the three of you, the boy took in his surroundings, and you tried to give him a reassuring smile. "Don't mind these two. We wouldn't tend to your wounds if we wanted to harm you."

Still somewhat hesitant, the boy spoke slowly, "I-I was l-leaving my vil-village, which is north o-of Cas-Castersin. It's c-called F-Finner. A few d-days ago a pack of s-skigers a-attacked, and we were c-caught off guard. M-my parents were k-killed, and I only t-thought to run. The s-skigers caught m-me at o-one point, but I m-managed to get away a-again."

"My brother didn't ask for your story. He asked how you got away. No one can outrun a skiger unless you can transport," Heart said, crossing his arms over his chest.

Casting a glare his way, you urged the child to go on. The child nodded and continued, "W-well, I was b-born with air m-magic. I can c-benter it in my l-legs, making m-me able to run f-faster t-than a s-skiger, but e-exhaustion got to m-me at one p-point. I-I'll get going n-now. Thank y-you for the h-help."

"Wait a moment," you uttered before grabbing the child's right arm, "you mentioned that your parents have passed away. Do you have any other relatives?"

He shook his head, eyeing the brothers carefully. Currently, though, the twins had their gazes on you, though. They were wondering what you were up to, but both had feeling they knew what you were getting at.

"In that case you're welcome to stay here. Besides, we can't send you back out onto the grasslands in your condition. I imagine you want some food and rest. Moreover, one of these two clowns behind me needs an apprentice," you mentioned, releasing him.

"What!" they both yelled in unison. They were expecting you to let the child stay, but an apprentice?

"My dear lady, I can assure you that we need no apprentice. What happened to you not wanting us to die?"

"That's not what I meant by this. It's just good to have one, since you know your successor will be worthy of your position. Besides, this child seems to have potential for a future king if he can already focus his magic like that."

"You're just trying to get our attention elsewhere, Miss _____. Still, he could help Woodlily around the castle. Moreover, you do make a good point, but it will be hard for anyone to fill my shoes. Are you up to the task, child?" Diamond questioned, focusing on the child.

"I-I don't k-know what to s-say," the child stuttered before gulping. He glanced between the three of you before looking at Diamond. It seemed he was weighing his options before he replied in a stronger voice, "Erik, it's my name. I thought you s-should know, since I agree to this. W-which king are you?"

"I thought that would be obvious. I'm the King of Diamonds. Now, Miss _____, you'll help me escort him to his room before we proceed with the price you have to pay for losing our game."

Personally, you were hoping that you would be able to get out of it, but it looks like you weren't that fortunate. Signaling for the small boy to follow you, he slowly climbed off the table and kept his distance from Heart. Both Erik and you were surprised, though, when Diamond stopped in the kitchen doorway.

"By the way, Miss ____, you can't leave my brother without an apprentice, nor can you continue on without one. It's only fair if you're pressuring me into this. You'll need to come up with a solution. Don't you agree, brother?"

Heart smirked at what his brother was implying, "Why, I believe I do, Diamond. I think our dear lady's new servant position will come quite in handy for that particular task."

Hearing this exchange, you paled, while Erik didn't understand a word of it, which was probably for the best. "You two can't mean..."

"Indeed, we do, Miss _____. Now, shall we escort Erik up to his room?"

Glancing between the two twins, you cursed mentally, since there was no way to escape at the current moment. Diamond blocked the door and Heart stood only a few feet from you. Suddenly, you wished that you weren't so kind. They were using your own advice to further their own desires. Maybe, you should've stayed on Province's moon, since the isolation there was starting to look rather nice. Wait, you could go there. You just had to form a portal.

As if knowing your thoughts, Heart quickly covered your mouth, when he saw you start to part your lips. He shook his head in disappointment before whispering into your left ear, "Do I have to wrap a cloth around your mouth, my dear lady?"

Narrowing your eyes at him, you glanced back to Diamond, who commented with characteristic smile, "We won't force you, Miss ____. Just know that we expect you to even this out in the future. I'm sure you can't reject our charms for too long."

Blushing at this comment, you glanced away from both of them. Once again, they had backed you into a corner, and you should've expected it. You really would never be able to get around their games and tricks. Thus, you shoved Heart's hand away from your mouth and signaled that you would follow Diamond. At least you had managed to get them to stall on their suggestive plan. Knowing them, though, they would eventually get you. Besides, they were the clowns that knew your every tune, heard your every song and played your every note.
