chapter 15 "complications"

TORI'S POV:

I woke up at around two in the morning, completely disgruntled. after i got home from school , my mom had ordered me straight to bed and brought up my dinner to my room . My mom never does that . she is always up and about and as her daughters , she expected us to be the same . but i could tell she was worried . Very worried. i mean , i would be too . 

what she didnt know however was i had ashton freaking summers by my bedside all day . the same ashton whose mind i couldn't read or control . 

oh god. she was going on flip out. 

i got out of bed , giving up on sleep . i had to stop thinking about this . it was interfering in my life . i walked to my bookshelf that stood all the way against my wall and picked up the album sitting in it . i walked back to my bed , slightly shivering in my thin night gown . i sank into my covers and opened the book . pictures of  me and tammy as babies greeted me . 

my mom was obsessed with  documenting everything . there were pics of me as a baby in my mom's arms , then me and tammy in the garden , making mud pies . i smiled at the frozen memories in front of me . i was feeling unsettled , unsure , and i just needed something familiar . i sat there was a bit just looking at the pictures before i felt a yawn overtaking me . i put down the album and sank back to my bed . it wasnt long before i was out cold . 

the next morning i felt a hand shaking my shoulders. i brushed it off when i heard someone scream my name . i jumped up and sat upright on the bed . i whipped my head sidewards to see a smiling tammy beide me . 

"TAMMY ! " i  yelled . she just put her hands up defensively before stalking out , throwing a "get ready , we're gonna be late" in my direction. i stood up and walked into the adjoining bathroom to get ready . 

after a quick and hot shower , i felt much better . my head felt clearer too . i threw on a hoodie and some ripped jeans and brushed my hair out. i then carefully applied my makeup taking extra care to fancily wing my liner . after i was convinced , i stepped into a pair of converse and walked into tammy's room . 

she was sat on the bed , a book on her lap . "tam?" i called out , her head shot up and she nodded once before grabbing her denim back pack and waling out behind me . "whats wrong? whats going on?" i asked . "i have a biology  test i completely forgot about . i'm cramming " she said . i patted her back reassuringly . she would be fine . 

as i walked into school ,  I beelined for my locker when i felt someone tackle me , my breath knocked out of me. "Victoria Naomi Callaway , you have no idea how worried i'v been!" addy screamed at me. 

i couldn't help it . i giggled and then i outright laughed . addy's scrunched up face relaxed as a smile found its way onto her face. meg came walking behind her . " i tried to keep up but she broke into a run , so i just let her" she said shaking her head . 

"tori" addy screeched ,earning weird looks from the people around us "what the hell happened yesterday?!" she continued. I just shook my head "Well, ashton confronted me and I fainted" I said .

they both looked at me , waiting for me to continue . I  wrung my hands together , detesting this conversation and the things I was about to confess . "umm, you know the party we went to?" I began slowly . they nodded in unison .  "well,i ...um, actually , like I kinda" I stuttered . "you what ?!" addy yelled impatiently .

"ashton kissed me at that party " I said in a rush . the looks on their faces would have been priceless if not for the fact that I was freaking out. "what?!" addy cried out . I cringed , all the shouting giving me a worse headache. "that's not all" I managed to get out .
