chapter 8 : "Its gonna be fun"

VICTORIA'S POV:

A week had passed since i joined school . it was almost time for the weekend as i walked into school on friday . Ashton had been ignoring me all week and i had stopped caring . i tried to talk to him during english but he either ignored me or gave me one word replies . 

i hadn't done anything . i assumed it was because he thought it would ruin his reputation to be seen with me . not that i wasnt acceptable to be seen with ,even i knew that.

As i changed for gym, i thought about my first week here. i had made some friends in most of my classes and one of those friends, Megan , had become very close to me . 

we hung out during lunch and sometimes after school and it was hard to think we hadn't known each other before this week . another of our mutual best friends was Adelaide . she was the funny one and forever kept joking . we became close during this week . 

i sat at lunch that day with meg and addy and we just laughed and talked . " so , tori" Addy started " any boys in the picture?" she finished with a giggle . " no" i said shaking my head " i don't know any boys that way" i muttered . " well , we would only be far too happy to introduce you to some ." meg said , smirking . 

i just laughed it off and smiled at my friends. i didn't want any boys to be in my life . relationships ruined everything. that was the principle of my life. 

i had never been unpopular . i know it sounds like i'm bragging but i'm just saying whats true. i didn't believe in self -pity. i found it pathetic. i was confident but not attention-seekingly so . i happened to command a crowd either because of the way i looked or because of my personality . i never used mind - control to make friends because that was not possible . mind control didn't work with feelings.

i had already captured the attention of the student body at willmur high , which was the school i attended. they all seemed to see the speciality in me but couldn't put a finger on it . both meg and addy were pretty popular . they both were social but still non-judgemental , which was what drew me to them.

"so" addy started , glancing up from her phone " theres a party at melissa drew's house this saturday  you guys in?" she asked , not expecting us to reply . "umm..i don't think so" i began only to have both their heads snap up to me . 

"You have to come!!" meg said " it's a way to introduce you to everyone. officially that is" 

"what am i , a princess with a coming out debutante ball?" i teased . abby smiled at that but continued " tori , its a great way of introducing yourself to people and to make a place for yourself" she advised .

 i nodded . i didn't mind , honestly . it was gonna be fun

i sat in my room getting dressed when i hard a knock on my door. "come in " i yelled and meg and addy walked in wearing their party finest. 

Meg wore a silver and blue sequined top and low - rise jeans. she made up for any casualness with 4-inch sparkly silver stilletos. addy wore a red and white dress that came till her knees and classic black pumps. both had impeccable makeup on . 

"hey guys" i greeted standing up to hug them . "tori , your house is ama-zing" addy squealed . i thanked her and stepped back . 

"so " i began " is my outfit ok?" i asked,twirling . i had worn a full black dress that hugged my torso only to flare from my hip . i had paired it with sparkly killer black ankle boots and silver hoops. i also had left my long hair loose down my back and had gone for dark makeup that complimented my eyes.

i looked like a fallen angel . 

they both nodded excitedly ."you look great tori" addy said smiling at me .i was convinced i was going to have a great time tonight.

 a little while later we left to get to the party . we reached and walked in to the lively house . it boomed with music and dancing . we walked through the house and entered the center of activity . 

i stepped into the room and raised my eye only to meet ashton's . he looked me over in shock and started towards me . 

what had i gotten myself into ?!
