Before the main events of Story of Nash: The Androids, Blank served under Barry Doue (her original master) along with her brothers, A Zalker and A2 Zalker. They were all designed to sing "Dye Musicá", a song that could brainwash people into submission, literally dying their brains, hence the name. The real name she went by was not a name at all, but a serial number, 2L1N11. She ended up defective and was supposed to be disposed of, but the man in charge of disposal instead took Blank away. The man, White, (later revealed to be the one Blank called her "father") modified Blank, removed her serial number and kept her a secret from Barry and his associates until his death. He treated Blank like his own daughter; Barry comments that he must have been a single, lonely man to go through all the trouble of hiding her. After her father's death, Blank began living on her own, often taking long walks around Picking Lot Village.
