(Alek's point of view)
I wake up the next morning, subconsciously reaching for the empty space next to me. I leaned up and looked down, seeing that I was alone. I shook my head and threw my legs over the side of the bed. I walked over to the shit dresser I put together. I grab a pair of tan skinny fit pants and a white shirtless shirt. I grab my gun, put it in the holster, and walk out the room. I looked down the hall to my right and see Cj and Chris walking towards me.
"Well, good morning, Princess." Chris smiles at me. I chuckle.
"Is it the hair?" I run my hand through my long blonde hair.
"Where did you go last night?" Cj asked abruptly.
"War memorial. I go up there to think a lot." I tied my hair back in a bun.
"Told you it was nothing to worry about." Chris looked at Cj.
"Uh huh..." He walked off, brushing my shoulder on the way passed me. Chris looked at me.
"You doing okay?" He looked into my eyes.
"Yeah. I was wondering if, maybe, I could question the chick from Jade's group?" I asked. Chris stood quiet for a moment, thinking.
"Sure. Ask whatever you'd like. She's in room... 139, I believe." Chris nodded and walked off. I made my way through the halls and approached the room. I knocked twice.
"Come in." A soft voice called. I opened the door, and she was sitting on her bed, knitting something.
"Hey, uh..."
"My name's Brittany." She looked up at me. She had deep blue eyes. She was so short and small.
"Brittany, right. So," I pulled the chair away from the desk that was next to the door. I turned it around and sat down, facing her, "What can you tell me about Community?" She put her knitting things down and looked up at me.
"Well. Jade's crazy. She's let her power go to her head. But, it's a nice place, I suppose. I just needed new... If that makes sense." She shrugged.
"No, no. That makes sense. I understand completely. I've been thinking the same thing..." I trailed off, focusing on the scarf she was knitting.
"You want to leave?" She asked, shocked.
"Yeah. I mean," I rubbed my temple, "It's complicated. I love it here. But, without Gabby, It's not the same."
"So you want to run off to the person who killed her? Perfect sense." She giggled. It irritated me. I stood up and shook my head.
"You wouldn't understand." I walked out. I made my way to the greenhouse outback. Lisa's best friend, Tara, ran it. I walked in and she was tending to the tomatoes.
"Hey there," She walked over, wiping dirt off her hands onto her pants, "What can I do for you?" I looked around.
"Do you have any Tiger Lillies?" I asked. She smiled widely.
"Of course I do," She turned and walked over to the back of the house. She was about as tall as me, but a little on the chunky side. But she was proportional. She had bright purple had that was in an undercut style. She turned to me, "They're Lisa's favorite flowers. How many you want?"
"Uh, 5? I guess?" I shrugged. She cut 5 off the plant and handed them to me. They were a vibrant orange with red speckles on the petals.
"Here you are," She smiled, "Anything else?"
"No, I'm good. But, uh, since Gabby... uh. Yeah. Anyways. Are you in the kitchen now too?"
"Sure am. I'm so sorry about her, by the way. I send my condolences."
"Thanks," I nod at her, "But I think I'll be okay." I turn and walk back towards my room. Once I reach it, I step in. I place the flowers on my desk and begin packing my bags. I pack whatever I can. I hear footsteps approaching my room, very face paced. I hide the flowers under my bed. The floor flies open. I look up to see Cj.
"You told Rachel?!" He screams.
"Excuse me? I haven't even talked to Rachel since the funeral." I was very confused. Cj grabbed me, picking me up by my shirt and pinned me against the wall.
"You think you can just tell Rachel then run to Jade? Like she can fucking protect you?" His eyes were dark with rage.
"Dude. What the fuck are you talking about?!?: I shouted in his face.
"Rachel is pissed. She's fucking moving rooms. All because you opened your goddamn mouth," He pressed his forearm against my throat, "And you're dumb enough to mentioned that you're leaving. Are you fucking dumb?" He grabbed me by my hair. He dragged me into the hall.
"Let fucking go of me!" I pulled away, causing him to rip out a handful of my hair. I jumped up, standing toe to toe with him, "I didn't fucking say shit to her. I wasn't the only fucking one there that night."
"Chris wouldn-" He stopped.
"I told Brittany I wanted to fucking leave. I didn't fucking say or do shit." I spit at him. I turned and walked back into my room, grabbing my bags and the flowers.
"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" I stood up at the sound of Chris' voice. I turned and saw him standing in the hall with Cj and Brittany, looking into my room.
"Leaving this hell hole." I walked out.
"Oh no the fuck you're not." Chris pull his gun out, pointing it at me.
"Wow," I put my hands up, "Is that the game we're fucking playing now? What are you? A warden? Even fucking Jade let her fucking go." I say, nodding towards Brittany.
"You're not gonna fucking leave us for her." Chris pulls the hammer back on his gun. I pull my gun out and fire a shot. I turn quickly and run. A bullet flies by my face. I turn back and see Cj and Chris leaned over Brittany, who's on the floor, blood surrounding her.
"Fuck..." I whisper as I run faster.
