I was woken up by Aysa getting up. I stretched and looked up at him,

"Hey, I didn't mean to wake you. But, someone is knocking on the door." He walked over and laid down on the couch. I got up and walked to my door, opening it.

"Hey," Jed said, smiling, "I heard that some not so chill shit happened last night?" He asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Yeah, uh, can you gather everyone at the CMC in about 20?" He nodded.

"Will do. I'll see you there." He walked off. I closed the door. I turned and noticed Aysa dozed back off. I walked over and knelt beside the couch, playing with his hair. He slowly opened his eyes.

"Why can't we just sleep all day? It's not like we have jobs these days." He pulled me on top of him.

"As much as you can say that, I do. I have to run this place." I laid my head on his chest. I heard my front door open.

"Hey, Jade," Audrey walked in. I popped my head up, Aysa pushing me off in the process. So I fell to the floor. Aysa leaned up and smiled at Audrey, "Dear fucking god, please tell me you guys weren't-"

"No," I laughed as I stood up, "We weren't." I walked over to her.

"Well, we're all in the CMC, if you wanna start now." She cut her eyes at Aysa, who rolled his eyes.

"Play nice, you two." I said as I went to grab Edge, but he wasn't there. I looked at Aysa.

"He's against your closet," He said as he walked off. He returned, handing me Edge, "I pulled him out the ground after Leanne got to you last night." We all walked out.

"Why did you need to see Leanne last night?" Audrey asked, worried.

"I'll explain after I tell everyone what's going on." I smiled at her when we reached the CMC, we all walked in. Aysa and Audrey sat down. I climbed up on the stage. Jed nodded to Lamar, who stood up with Tanner, and they walked up to the edge of the stage and then turned to the group.

"Alright, guys. Last night, we had an encounter. With the living kind," Tanner started. Causing a few gasps from people, "But, Jade has got it covered." He looked back at me.

"We just, maybe, have a slight problem," Lamar sighed, "I'll let Jade explain." Tanner and Lamar returned to their seats.

"How is everyone today?" I smiled. The groups erupted with replies ranging from 'tired', 'good'. And then my dad, 'Fucking bored.' I chuckled at his response, "Well, we're all alive. But, I had the pleasure of seeing... an old friend... last night," I breathed in, "His name is Alek. He is in a group. Ran by my stepfather and my mom. They're going to be coming here in a few days. I don't know. Maybe even today. But, do not be worried. You all will be armed. You will all have hand guns. Stef," I looked over at her, "Make sure everyone signs them out."
"Got it." She nodded.

"I believe Alek and my cousin, CJ, were sent here yesterday to capture this place. I think they are responsible for the break in the fence. Maybe to drive us off? I'm not sure. But, they're my parents. They'll understand and they'll leave us alone. Hell, who knows? Maybe we can work together and it can be happy go lucky, Kumbaya, peace bullshit." William raised his hand.

"Let's say that it goes poorly when the group shows up. What do we do?"

"Light 'em up!" Tyler shouted. There was clapping afterwards.

"No. Depends on the situation. If someone draws a weapon on you, shoot. If someone threatens you, knock 'em the fuck out. Got it? We want to play nice. But we will not be walked over," Everyone nodded as they looked up at me, "Now, today, not much if going on. Do whatever you want. If you want lessons on anything, let Khalil or Lamar know. If you want to go on a run, come to me. I'll sign you on for the next one. Which will be in two days? I believe we have enough food to last us until then." I turned to my dad.
