"Excuse me, is Ms. Matrixlyn present?"-"Yes, she is."- The geometry teacher replies.
"Please tell her to go to the Infirmary." The secretary requests through the loudspeaker.
-"Go, emo."- He says, giving me a death glare. I leave my seat and walk towards the Infirmary, feeling disgusted. This is the fifth time I'm sent there this week, and it's just a damn Wednesday. The last times I've been sent there have been for lectures on cutting and the many consequences it could have. As if I cared. The thing is, no matter what I did, my scars always healed, and nobody could explain why, not even a dermatologists. I hope that today isn't the same, and it isn't. I realize as soon as I step inside the Infirmary. The Nurse wasn't here, only two men, and they looked like cops. I think that I am in deep trouble now.
-"Are you sure it's her? I mean, take a look at her, she can't be the one we're hunting."- Both individuals were in a deep conversation, so they don't take note of my presence. I might be able sneak out, if I keep quiet. And so I tried.
-"The scent reeks in her name, there's no doubt about it, it's got to be her."- The voices, they seemed of men, but young men, probably in their early twenties. I step on a pencil, and it breaks, causing them to turn and give me the evil eye.
-"And where are you going darling?" One of them says, slowly walking towards me. I turn in my heel to run, but he somehow reaches me and grabs my arm. I look at his face and notice he is very hot. His hair is blonde, straight and falling into his eyes, which were a very deep blue. His skin was tanned, something that surprised me, since blue-eyed blondes are usually white. But he wasn't. A finger of his caresses my chin. "You know, it's rude to run away without saying goodbye." The guy smirks. "You're very pretty."-
-"Leave her alone Jeff, you're not supposed to be harassing her like that."- The other man says, suddenly appearing behind the one now called Jeff. I analyze his features. His silver hair is over his left eye, which had an unusual dark color, while the other one was hazel. And to be realistic, calling these males men was an over statement, because they could actually be my age, or maybe a year or two older than me.
-"Sorry dude, you know how my hormones get when I spot a hot chick."- Jeff replies, letting go of my arm and stepping away from me. The boy behind me rolls his eyes.
-"Then get ahold of yourself, you should act like the person you're going to be in a few hours if The Council assembles."- This silver-haired guy, he looked so much like me. Anybody could say that we are siblings, because of the similarities in our physical features. The only differences are our hair and eyes. Him, one eye hazel and the other a very dark color, his hair silver, and me, purple gray eyes and black hair. I was born with such eye color, and forced to wear contacts until I was in 6th grade. After that, my tutors simply told me to give them up if I didn't really care about people and the looks they could give me. Whenever somebody bothers to ask why I have my colors the way they are, I always say the same filthy lie:
-"They're contacts."-
This guy and I must have our affinities crossed, because this is just too much of a coincidence.
-"Exactly, if it assembles Albert."- The name rings multiple times in my ears. Albert, Albert, Albert, Albert. That sounds very familiar, too damn familiar.
-"Albert? Isn't that the name of the Heir of the Shadow Realm in Trinitarian Mythology?"- I ask, looking at the guys hazel eye, but it wasn't hazel anymore, it is a deep gray.
-"Yes, I am. I am Albert Noxtrian, son of the Shadow Mistress Norian and the Shadow King Alexandrian of Noxtria."- He answers, his tone very firm. A quality of a ruler. He seemed like if he had received the best education possible, since he is very educated and refined. I have none of the qualities mentioned above. So, if I had to become a ruler, I would lead the people straight to their graves.
