The first thing that Darena noticed was that she was no longer in the forest lake, if not, in the same forest she had been when she was in her trial (The Ashen). The same place where she'd seen Darten, who claimed that he had been destined to be The Dark Lord, just as Darena had been destined to be The True Hero. Darena wanted to see Darten again, but never expressed such wish. She knew that all in Trinity hated The Dark Lord and wanted him to be gone from their world, which was the thing that made her keep silent about her wish to be with her brother and find out what had driven into the darkness he now bathed in. When the forest came into Darena's view, she immediately feels relieved but also begins to get anxious. What if Darten didn't show up? What if he was never meant to be part of her life, even though he is her brother? What united Darten's and Darena's destinies was something that nobody could understand, because it goes beyond the red thread of destiny. It's something that's said to be a myth, because it has only happened once in the history of Trinity.

While Darena was thinking all of this, things in Twilight had been very tense. Galian was insisting that Darena had died on the attempt to pass The Final Test, which would immediately make Vandrel the King of Twilight, a fact that had disgusted the habitants of Twilight since a long time. They didn't want the rule of the Galians to continue for any longer, and it wasn't because they were dictators, it's just that they never put the people as a priority. Their luxurious parties and well being came before the kingdom, and they didn't establish an authority either. Robbers and fugitives from Trinity made the Twilight Realm their safe heaven, and the kindness of the people and the peaceful atmosphere of the Realm made them think they could do whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted. Even when massive murders had occurred, The Lords had done nothing to the criminals and didn't even bother to go to those affected to check how they were doing. This is the reason that caused the town folk and the people of the Realm take justice into their own matters and judge the criminals and fugitives themselves, following the laws of Twilight and of Trinity. Because of this, the people of Twilight wanted their Princess to survive so that she could restore the rule of the Matrixlyn's, who gave the Realm the best days in their history. Even though Galian insisted much, the other Elders and rest of The Council decided that until concrete proof of Darena's death was given, the throne would still be hers. Albert continued to hope that his fiancée came back, to at least be able to hold her one last time if she was really dead.

Darena had been waiting for hours in the forest, and no sign of anything had come to her, so she sat on the floor, wanting to get a sign of Darten arriving soon. A while later, she feels sleep call to her, and decides to lay down in the wet meadow that was at the very heart of the immense forest. Less than a second after she relaxed into the tall grass, her eyes closed shut and Darena slips into the arms of Morpheus. Darena doesn't really dream about anything as she lays in the meadow, but she does feel a body lay down next to her, warm arms bringing her close to someone's body. For a slight instant she thought it was Albert, but then she remembered that her fiancé wasn't anywhere near her. Still, those arms wrapped around her waist felt familiar and right, like if the person holding her was the one that was meant to spend the rest of their days with her. And now, she begins to doubt about Albert being the one for her, even though he had been beside her for a very long time. The arms circling Darena's hips brought her closer to the chest of the person next to her, and she saw something that she didn't even remembered had happened.

-"She's beautiful, isn't she Mother?"- A boy holding a baby asks, smiling. A woman smiles as well, letting out a giggle.

-"Yes, without a doubt son. She will be very fond of you, and look up to you as her example."-

-"Which is why you must be aware of her and protect her no matter what happens. When we are no longer here, you will be the one in charge of her."- The voice of a man says, deeply and with concern. The boy nods his head and kisses the baby's forehead, smiling widely still.
