The sun had barely risen when a shot was heard from east of The Forgotten Plains, east to The Trinitarian Army as well. Those on watch warned the leaders and soon afterwards everybody was aware and armed, ready to await orders. The leaders of the respective armies gathered up to discuss the battle strategies to be used and then explained them to the soldiers, who understood everything very quickly. The soldiers from the Twilight Realm laid down in the tall grasses of The Plains, since their gray uniforms could be camouflaged in the ashen colored grass. The Light soldiers hid in the trees west to The Plains, where their uniforms couldn't be spotted from near or far while the soldiers from Shadow had hidden behind the trees, which were black like the land far to the east. And finally, the soldiers from The Armed Forces laid on the ground near the woods that separated The Plains from The Bridge of Memory, for their dark gray uniforms blended in with the dirt. Everyone laid still in their spot until the sun rose high enough to be seen from the woods without needing to get out of them. After that, another shot was heard, and with the shot came The Dark Army. 1,000 soldiers came into view, but half of these were corpses, you could tell by their features. Their skin shines bright white with the sunlight, unlike the Human ones, on who the sun has no effect. The Dark Lord had taken over Darten's body, and was in it, looking stronger than ever. Drelin, his son and Heir, rides beside him in his horse, the same one Darena had seen go over the bridge of The Twilight Castle, its black mane making the sun seem opaque. The Dark Lord's horse was equal, only that with gray spots. Drelin scans the field, but he sees no soldier, which causes him to frown. His father does the same next to him, not understanding why The Trinitarian Army wasn't in sight. The Dark King's continues to move, not realizing the Twilight soldiers were meters away from him. The Trinitarian soldiers were instructed to not, by any means, try to shoot The  Dark Lord, because it would be a waste, since only Darena could defeat him. A Twilight soldier makes the first shot, which lands on Drelin's torso, piercing his liver. He begins to cough blood up and collapses to the ground, clutching his chest tightly. The Dark Lord drops off his horse and kneels down beside his son, who had become even paler than he already was. Drelin gasps for breath, letting his hands fall at his side. The Dark Lord places his son's head on his lap, caressing his cheek.

-"Drelin, please, hold on."- The Dark Lord whispers, his face close to Drelin's. The Dark Prince gasps and after pulling his shirt out of his trousers, he raises it and shows his father the wound the bullet caused.  The blood flowing from the wound is black, and Drelin weakly smiles, knowing his hour had come.

-"I can't Father, I'm dying. I feel my breath slipping, my heart slowing, my lungs stopping... I'm feeling numb Father, and it's the poison. Deathsting... how ironic Father. We created the poison, and we die by it. I guess this is what you call having a taste of your own medicine."- Drelin says, smirking, blood staining his chin and lips. The Dark Lord sobs, cupping Drelin's face in his hands.

-"No! Drelin, you can't die, not now... our Realm is at our grasp, you can't die on me like this Drelin! Don't you understand that I need you to stay alive? YOU CANNOT DIE ON ME DRELIN!!!"- The Dark Lord screams, leaning down to Drelin's face, lips close. Drelin's eyes widen, wanting to move his head away, but he is so weak and pained that he doesn't find strength to even breathe properly. He has no idea of how his eyelids hasn't closed yet, but he guessed it was just his body struggling to get a last glimpse of the world he had never seen. Drelin had lived locked in The Dark Castle, seeing nothing but darkness and black. He'd always wanted to see the green fields of Trinity, where slazen was grown, smell the fresh air in them as well. See The Springs of Death, fly upward to The Heavenly Prisons, spend endless hours in The Library of The Unknown, and visit The Hidden Ocean, or try to find it at least. The Prince's thought are interrupted by the realization that his father's lips were even closer to his now, only a push away.
