Darena was strolling in the gardens of the Twilight Castle, when all of a sudden, she hears somebody call her name.

-"Darena."- She turns around and finds a man in his early forties, who has straight black hair, which is long enough to cover his ears, but not enough to reach his shoulders. His gray eyes stand out against his snowy white skin. Darena knew she has seen this man before, but when or where, was what she didn't know.

-"Excuse me, you seem familiar to me, but from where or when it is unknown to me? May I know your name sir?"- Darena asks, her brain still trying to connect the pieces and find out who this man was. The man smiles and embraces Darena so tightly that she thought that he was going to break her like a porcelain doll.

-"You're  just like your mother, in everything, even in the way that you speak. Anyone could say that you're twins instead of mother and daughter. She would have been so happy to see you again, my darling princess. Darena, you have no idea of how much I've missed you. I'm never letting you go my child, never, not now that I've found you again."- The man whispers, holding his daughter as if he were going to loose her in the blink of an eye. Darena stands motionless, knowing deep down inside her heart that this holding her was none other than Deren Matrixlyn, her father and The Hero of Trinity before herself.

-"Papa, it's been so long. But, how? I mean, I thought you were dead. I thought that you had died because of what Darten did. Dad, why did you leave me? I have a theory and I think it's pretty accurate, but I want to hear it from you. Please Pa, if it isn't much trouble, tell me."- Deren leads his daughter to a nearby bench and they both sit down.

-"We had no choice darling. If we hadn't send you, you would be dead, and you didn't deserve to die because of something your brother did. We never left you in his responsibility, but he murdered the one in charge of you, your Nana, and took you in. Then, when he saw what you would become, he tried to get rid of you by sending you to The Human Realm, where you wouldn't be able to fulfill your destiny. And, The Human Form Birth Penalty existed, so we don't have much of a choice if we wanted you to survive. Your mother suffered a lot after you were gone, but it's not your fault. As a parent you do the impossible to keep your children safe, even if it means your suffering. She was sick too, so she couldn't care for you, because if not you would've contracted the disease and there wouldn't have been much of a chance of you surviving. What was done was for your own good and safety, even though we couldn't keep you from receiving so much pain in The Human Realm from the kids at school caused you because of your style and looks. I'm sorry my child, I hope you can forgive your mother and I for such tragedy you had to go through during your time as a human. Please, forgive us if you can, because if you don't, we'll understand."- Deren says, kissing Darena's forehead afterwards. Darena smiles and lays her head on her father's shoulder.

-"I could never hold anything against you or Mama, so don't feel so guilty. What happened wasn't something that you planned or thought, it just happened. And the same can be said for Darten, it just happened, but he could've decided whether to avoid become the person he now is. What happened wasn't your fault, it wasn't in your hands, so don't blame yourself." Both individuals smile. Darena' smile fades as she thinks about her mother. "Hey, where is Ma buried? I mean, where is her tomb?, that's if, she has one."- Deren's smile fades as well, remembering how his wife died in his arms after coughing up too much blood.

-"I buried her in The Twilight Forest, a place she always loved. Whoever she could, she would go on there and walk around, starring at everything with such interest and amazement, like if she had never been out. And no matter how many times she went, she never got tired of going. We could go now if you want, there's still time before the sun sets."- Deren says, standing from the  bench and holding his hand out to help Darena up. She gladly takes it and follows her father as he leads the way to The Twilight Forest, holding his daughter's hand tightly, as if she was still a little girl that would escape his grasp to see something far away, where he couldn't protect her. After a silent stroll, they both reach the edge of the forest, and Darena asks:

-"Is her tomb marked in a specific place?"- Deren smiles.

-"Yes, she was very specific on where she wanted to be buried. You see, your mother was always very strict about what she wanted, she never gave up something for nothing in the world. She was well-known and respected for that, but she still was very gentle and understanding. You're a lot like her, though she'd probably say that you're like me when it comes to being steady and never giving in. She's right, pretty damn true."- Darena smiles, liking her dad's attitude.

-"I can see where I got the stubbornness from. Damn, that explains a lot..."- Darena mutters to herself, unaware that her father heard her and chuckled.

-"Yeah, she was a fucking stubborn person as well, but you came to love her, just the way she was. She was stubborn until the very end, a true warrior indeed."- Although Darena didn't know her father very well, she knew that he must have really loved her mother enough to be able to be with her until the very end, even if she was dying in the most gruesome way possible. Also, if he could stand all of her little details and still keep himself upright, they must have had a very deep connection that only Death could separate. But, what if Death was just another obstacle to overcome? What if the one they thought was dead, was actually alive? If it had happened with the King of Twilight, why couldn't the same happen with the Twilight Queen, Darlena Matrixlyn?
