The word seemed numb to me. I only saw the eyes of that man for a long time. His cold gaze locked on me. His lips in a scary grin. And the worst part, his teeth, sharp and long, the trace of blood in them. He seemed so familiar, but whenever I was close to remembering anything about him, I forgot it instantly. That is so annoying. I was blind for 15 minutes at least. The dark was already scaring me. Somebody's hand never left mine, and that was both sweet and creepy. Must be Albert of Jeff. Either way, it made me feel calm, because it meant that I wasn't alone. When I am finally able to open my eyes, I see none other than Jeff hovering over me, his eyes closed and his lips not too far from mine.

-"Jeffred, get off." I say my tone deadly. His eyes snap wide and he quickly gets off, sitting in a nearby chair instead. Even though the chair was a few feet away from me, he still looked very scared, like if I were going to jump on him and tear his limbs apart. I may be a bit freaky, but never a cannibal. I sit up and rub my eyes a little. A while later, I'm able to see everything clearly, without feeling any irritation by the light in the room, which was pretty dim, but bright at the same time. Then, I stretch my arms, relief spreading throughout my bones at the movement. My muscles relax even more and my joints emit the usual 'crack'. I never thought it'd be this good to feel human. To feel blood pump though my veins. My heart beat. The air going in and out of my lungs. My pupils seeing the light, the world, the everything. For so many years, I have been thinking that mortality was a waste, and that humanity was worthless, senseless. It is true that you value things when they're gone. Somebody's comes into the room, for I heard the door open and close, but it didn't close right after it was opened, which meant that more than one person had come inside the room. "Hey Albert."- I say once I spot Albert, now dressed differently. He wasn't wearing his black vest or his ripped jeans anymore, instead, he had a black button up dress shirt and black pants, which looked a bit tight. His silver hair over his left eye, and his eyes as usual. He looks like a ruler.

-"Hey Darena, feeling okay?"- He asks, taking my hand and leaving a kiss in it. I smile.

-"Better. And the Council?"- I get up from the bed, holding on to Albert's hand tightly. He smiles too.

-"It will assemble in 15 minuets Ms. Matrixlyn, so I suggest that you change into more proper clothing, for that which you're wearing is not proper for the Council's assembly."- A man in white robes says, his tone very firm.

-"My clothing is proper, so no, I will not be changing my attire sir. And I would most certainly like to know who I am speaking with."- I respond, crossing my arms and cocking my head aside. The man's brows go into a frown.

-"I am Charles Crossing, leader of the Trinitarian Council. You owe me a respect Ms. Matrixlyn, so I suggest that keep your mouth shut and change into the outfit that has been selected for you." He turns and slowly walks away. "It is laid in your assigned chamber."- Charles exists the room, shutting the door tightly. Jeffred leaves his chair, silently leaving the room afterwards. Silence fills the air.

-"That guy is such an asshole."- I say to no one in particular. Albert smirks.

-"No need to tell me. Come on, let's get you dressed."- He says, taking my hand. He leads me out of the room and into a white hallway.

-"Why is everything white here?"- I ask as we walk through the hallway.

-"Because there was a large debate over what color was to be chosen for the official color of the Council. Light wanted yellow, Twilight gray, and Shadow black, so the Council decided it would be white, since everybody agreed, and that was what was set."- He replies.

-"Interesting, and stupid as well."-

-"Totally."- We stop in front a door, color gray. Albert opens the door, revealing the room it concealed. I walk in and immediately rush to the bed, where I plop myself, laying facedown. Albert sits on the bed, right next to me. He then lays down sideways, looking at me. I move into the same position, supporting my head on my hand, which I held on with my elbow.
