Why Do We Fall

Months|| Chapter 8

Lexa's POV

It's been around 5 months since we left camp Jaha and Derek is officially one of us. He's trained and he learned fast he's one of the top warriors now but in the beginning it was a struggle for Indra to train him.

On the bright side Octavia is Indra's apprentice and she succeeds but not nearly enough as Derek. Derek forgave Indra for the things she put him through, I gotta say though Derek and Octavia are great warriors now.

On the other hand Derek is has more muscle and so does Octavia, Derek got some new tattoos I like the one on his back it's a what the top warriors get when they reach the level of commander of scouts and archers. Derek has gotten a lot better in sneaking and I can't even hear him sneaking up on me anymore.

"Lexa your up?" Derek says as he walks into our room with his war paint on. "Yeah I wanted to wait for you" I say tiredly "sorry Ryder, Anya and I have been scouting out Camp Jaha, they haven't left there camp yet." Derek says as he come toward me.

The moonlight on his eyes make his eyes brighter which makes them look more lively.

Clarke's POV

I woke up in the middle of the night next to Bellamy but I got a bad feeling about the grounders. I'm worried that my brother is killed by them I mean I trust Lexa but I don't trust any other grounder.

"Clarke! Clarke!" I hear Kane and my mother say as they hang on my door "what is it?" I say as I open the door. "We found scouts in the woods but they weren't hiding they were standing in the open and then disappeared into the forest." Kane says as he looks even more worried.

"Does Derek have anything to do with this?" I say worriedly, "there's a possibility Clarke" my mom says sadly.

I really hope he didn't have a part in it. If he did I will not ever think of him as my brother again.

Lexa's POV

"Derek your leaving already?" I ask as I stop shut the door "sadly yes, I don't want to but they are dangerous and it's winter so we must make sure they don't come to our hunting lands. Lexa do you remember they killed some of your warriors before we met? Yeah well I'm gonna make sure that doesn't happen again." He says as he hugs me and leaves.

"Ge some scouts en follow me, osir gotta scout the skai kru" I hear Derek say behind the closed doors.

I know what he means and hopefully he remembers.

Bellamy's POV
Time skip 9 hours

"Kane we found the scout leader" I hear one of the five guards say in a shaking voice. "He killed about 7 guards before we caught him, you can't hear him sneaking, he's strong and fast." I hear the fourth guard say.

"Bring him to me" Abby and Kane say, I get out of bed "I'm coming too" I say and everyone looks at me then I realize I only got my pants on.

I get dressed and the four of us leave to interrogate this scout. When we enter the room we see a grounder with a sack over his head and his hands tied but I can see it's loose.

I go over to the grounder to make the knot tighter but I get knocked down from a kick to the stomach. The grounder gets loose and he still got a mask cover his face but it's not the sack he had just taken that off while he kicked me.
