Chapter 14

Derek's POV

5 months later... season - early summer.

I wake up to crying again but I don't mind it. I love having kids I can call my own, I am a father, ha, I never thought I'd be one. But guess what the universe prevails once again. The twins opened their eyes and Sarah's left eye is green with blue and the right eye is brown and green. Alex's left is green and her right eye is blue and brown like mine. They have their mothers hair colour but my curls from when I was younger.

I go to bedroom where the babies are and I go in there and they're sitting up looking at me still crying. I smile at them, Sarah laughs at my smile I don't know why though. Alex does that too, they both laugh at me I find it odd but as long as if makes them happy I'm happy.

"Look at this, the big bad wolf playing dad" Lexa playfully says to me.

"Yeah? Well Lex I was thinking we should check up on my mom and the others" I ask.

"Yeah let's go, they haven't met the babies yet" Lexa replies.

We get packed for at least an 2-3 week stay, Indra and the rest of the grounders say there's goodbyes to us and we drive off in my Angel Of Death. We arrive 12 hours later, my ass is sore and I'm sure Lexa's is too, the twins enjoyed the ride. Well the bumps.

We stop the car and get out I got Alex in my right arm and Lexa has Sarah in her left arm. We go up to the big metal reinforced door and bang on it. "HEY LET US IN!" I yell out. The big door opens and we're greeted with smiles but not from Octavia.

I haven't seen any of them in a long time but it feels like I've been here a long time. "Awww who are these cuties?" Clarke, Raven, Jasper, Monty and my mother asks.

"That's Sarah and Alex." Lexa replies proudly.

"Aww look at they're beautiful eyes!" My mother cries out as she walks over, as my mother came over to us she couldn't take her eyes off the twins. We bring the babies into my moms and Kane's tent.

"Mom I was thinking of getting bounded with Lexa, and we want us, the people of the Ark to bound us." I say as I lay the twins down on the bed in the tent my mom owns.

"What is this Bounding first of all?" Kane asks politely to Lexa. His face is confused and as if he partially knows.

"Well it's marriage in your words, but I want to marry your son Abby." Lexa calmly speaks, her voice cracks a little when she spoke calmly.

"Well I give you my blessing Lexa" My mom smiles, I'm guessing she thought that I'd never get married.

"What did I just hear? Did I hear that Derek is getting married? To Lexa?" Clarke said from behind me, I was frightened to hear Clarke from behind me.

2 weeks later...

I see Lexa walking down the aisle with a flower on her ear, her dress is beautiful, her hair is just right, and she's walking with Bellamy down the aisle. We couldn't find Lexa's dad so Bellamy volunteered to give Lexa to me to wed, I look at her big green eyes as she continues walking down the aisle.

I feel tears come out of my left eye, our daughters is with my mother in the front row. I look at my mom, Clarke, Octavia, Raven, Jasper, Monty, Kane and the other alliance leaders. After Indra read us everything all we had to say is I do.

"I do" I say smiling, my stomach is feeling knotted, it's like when I first met Lexa.

"I do" Lexa repeats my words, those words got us both tearing up.

"You may kiss" Indra said as her voice cracks, Indra is crying or tearing up, I can't believe I'm seeing this.

As I finish kissing Lexa I hear Indra say to Lexa "I'm proud of you Heda, I'm sorry for any displeasure I may have caused before this was official"

"It's fine Indra, I'll forgive you" Lexa says still smiling.

After the whole bounding stuff I got to hang out with Bellamy once again, I missed it, I can't believe I missed my real mother this one time. Why? Why'd she leave me?
