Why Do We Fall

Chapter 9

Lexa's POV

I walked up to the sky people camp and I see flames and I hear screams of the dying people. I see Derek slaughtering the people of the sky and he seems to enjoy it. I walk up to him and before I'm even 10 feet away he draws out a small dagger instantly, his reflexes are fast and when he sees me he goes out of his "warrior" mode. He puts his hand on my belly and he smiles and hugs me.

I see a fire starting and getting out of control in the distance "look over there a fire is starting"
I yell to Derek even though he's in front of me. I see him look at the garage thing and I see him take off into it, I see him drive out in some metal thing and it's loud I'm frightened and yet he's controlling it. He opens the door for me and I get in we leave behind the other to get away.

We hear a explosions I look back at the sky people camp and there's flames ever where. I kinda feel bad but I don't have the time to feel bad right now.

"That was fun back there" I hear Derek say

"Well you looked liked you enjoyed it" I say as we continue driving through the field.

Clarke's POV

I love the camp my brother made but my brother looks better with his hair grown out, the curls on him suit him good.

I hear a horn which sounds like the acid fog horn. I see a small metal hut enough to fit us all inside of it and so we all enter it and it got a fireplace, food, and water.

I hear Jasper say "is that the sound of our truck?"

"Yeah, wait...yes that is our jeep" Raven says as she peels out the tiny glass peep hole.

"Holy shit is that Derek and Lexa in there?" Raven says as she back away from the peephole

Then we hear another horn and a bunch of Ice Nation warriors and the bitch herself queen Nia.

We open the door for Lexa and we see Derek outside with a rifle and he's shooting.

Bellamy tries to run out to help by Derek sees him and hits him with the butt of the gun and Bellamy is knocked down on the ground.

I see my big brothers face and he looks terrified but right now he's trying to protect us. I see the desperation he has on his face but he fights that part of him away as he shuts the big metal door.

The gunshots go on for about 10 minutes, till we hear my brother screaming. Lexa tries to get up but   Raven, Octavia and I block the door.

  We hear thuds and a howls of pain. The retreat horn is sounded for the ice nation and we all leave the hut after 20 minutes.

All of us are shocked when we see my fearless big brother on the ground on his stomach covered in his blood and just looks broken. We all check on him to see if he has any broken bones I look at his right hand and I see his ring finger cut off.

We turn him on his back and his  left eye is swollen shut and got a lot of cuts on his face from the punches he took. We turn around to see Lexa in tears when she sees what he looks like.

I see my brother crying and but only tears come out of his right eye. My brother attempts to stand but only to fall back down.

When we see him open his right eye his eyes looked dull and murky. "Is he gonna be okay?" Lexa asks nervously as she hold Derek's hand.

"I want my dad" Derek says as he looks into my eyes "I want him too big bro" I say trying to comfort him.

My mom and I brung him in the hut and we checked for broken bones. He has 4 broken ribs and a broken leg. We fixed his broken leg and his ribs, so far he didn't speak but keep wincing in pain.

I look my brother in the eyes and his eyes are full of rage but most of all he looks broken. "I'm gonna kill them all" Derek says with rage.

I give my brother a eye patch for his eye, mostly because it looks ugly.
