“Ok guys, so you wanted to know what we were going to do today well, how about planning.” Ok I admit it didn’t sound as fun as I had hoped but it could be worse.
“Fun” Zoe said heavily sarcastic.
“Yeah but you don’t know what we are planning.” I paused for a second for a reply but when none came I carried on “Anyways, we are going to be planning a hunt, and then whatever else we may want to do.” At the word hunt Chris smiled and Ashley sat up, I was curious as to whether she wanted to show off her hunting skills or not.
“When will we hunt?” Zoe asked
“That’s the point of planning isn’t it?” I laughed
“Sound great, what time?” Chris said instantly, he was sitting next to Zoe on a log in front of me, I knew he loved to hunt, and so did I, it was a pretty nice thing to do as weird as it sounds.
“What time is good for you guys?” I looked towards Ashley who was on the other side of Zoe.
“After one in the afternoon, I want to have breakfast and then read a bit before the hunt.” Zoe said as she smiled at the thought of a nice breakfast.
“Shouldn’t it be what time is best for the prey?” Ashley smiled at me trying to show she knew the game.
“Thanks for noticing.” I was pretty impressed that Ashley had picked that out.
“So either sunset or sunrise, right?” she said as she fiddled with her blonde hair which seemed to shine in the sun.
“Depends on how we intend to eat it” Chris said thoughtfully “If we want to cook it, I say sunrise then we have time to prepare it and have a nice dinner, if we are just going to feast on it as soon as we kill it then I suggest sunset because it will still be a pretty nice dinner.”
“Basically you want it for dinner sometime so we don’t need to cook” I laughed
“Yeah pretty much” Chris laughed as well “But on a serious note I suggest sunset, I mean unless you want to cook for us Tilyer, you are French after all”
“Sunset it is then” I laughed, I wasn’t really in the mood to cook.
“Can we do the hunt tomorrow? It’s just I really want pancakes tonight.” Ashley laughed slightly
“Pancakes sound like an amazing idea for tonight.” I agreed “In the mean time I’ll make up a plan for how we will hunt and what we will do.”
“You mean like a battle plan?” Zoe asked confused
“He means like who gets what job in the hunt, I'm guessing that two of us drive the herd one way whilst the others drive the prey the other way and then someone bites the deer, two more grab on and we kill or something.” Chris butted in trying to sound smart
“Sort of... it will be a bit better than ‘two more grab on and we kill or something’.” I laughed at his rather dumb plan, in my eyes it was dumb anyways, and it had no structure. Hunts are like art, it’s a skill.
“True, well you are the hunter.” Chris said smiling trying not to blush because his little seduction plan had just failed.
“You hunted a lot before?” Ashley asked intrigued
“You kidding he’s a legend, a pro, he’s the best hunter I've seen.” Chris said suddenly knowing that if he helped me with Ashley I might help him.
“Well I do try my best.” I replied proudly, I was thankful Chris had said that
“Remember your trophies?”
