Marks P.O.V

The sun was setting and a cool breeze started to pick up. I was standing in the middle of a forest with a mutilated deer next to me. I remember killing it, or her, didn’t have any antlers so I guessed it was a female. I had pretty much torn it into pieces, I didn’t care much either, what was the point, it was dead now anyways. It also served me as a sort of punching bag, just to relieve the stress and frustration of not finding Tilyer, and his little follower Chris. Well... by not finding I mean not knowing, Joe knew where their territory was but I wasn’t allowed to go near because I wanted him to think I was still clueless about his whereabouts.

I had grown in strength lately, more than in my first month and a half of training before my fight with them anyways. Some witch person named Rick came up to me one day after school and offered us help after Jack contacted him, and by contacted I meant bumped into him accidently because he was thinking a lot about Tilyer and the witch dude heard him. We all accepted his help and he turned us into shape shifters. We felt good, more powerful, stronger, bigger, better... but at the same time we seemed meaner I don’t know why but we just were. In any case I didn’t care if I was any meaner, I wanted Tilyer dead, that idiot wrecked my life, he scared us half to death and now I was a shape shifter, I was stronger than him and in a way he gave my life new meaning, but I knew I could be back home right now smoking some good weed and having fun with friends instead of wanting to kill him. I didn’t really have any better reason than that; I was just filled with anger and vengeance.

Jack was dead now... my friend was gone, but then again if the idiot watched his own back and not messed around he could have killed Chris and got on with it, this could all be over. Joe however, Joe was still with me and he too wanted Tilyer dead. I had given up all the drugs, I knew if I wanted to kill him I would need to, oh and if I wanted to survive in the wild I’d also need to.

I had planned out exactly how this was going to work out and Tilyer had no idea what he was walking into.

“Hey, you ok?” Joe called out as he made his way towards me

“Couldn’t be better, you ready?” I grinned at the thought of my plan.

“Yup, ready as I’ll ever be.”

“Good, so remind me what you’re gonna do?”

“Sure” Joe sighed, he must have been bored “I went near the West of their territory and left my scent, they are gonna follow my scent back and try to take me on, we hope.  I will be in the clearing we spotted, I will get their hopes up, or not... depends if I feel like being pushed around or not” Joe paused, he seemed slightly angry, or maybe just relishing in the plan he thought was ours

“Then?” I asked

“Then, you come out surprising both of them, and we kill them both... simple really.”

“Good” I said as I grinned once again, I wasn’t grinning because it was a good plan, nor because it would work, because truth it, it was, and it could work, it could, but it wasn’t going to. I had made a slight alteration to it.

“Well, I have to go, get some stuff before our big fight later, I'm not sure when they will go get you but I'm sure it should be soon, if not well, wait. I have your back.” I didn’t really mean much of what I said.

“Sure thing, see ya later Mark” Joe said as he turned around and headed for the clearing.

“Later Joe” I waited until he was well out of sight before opening my mouth again

“Rest in peace friend.” I turned around and decided to go back to where I was camping until I smelt my enemies, or heard the fight and Joes cries for help.

This was going to be a good night, or so I hoped. My plan should carry itself out pretty well and before Tilyer knows it, he’s going to be in bigger trouble than ever.
