I threw open Chris’ bedroom door open to find him sleeping peacefully under his blankets with the curtains closed, too bad he wasn’t going to be peaceful for much longer  I thought to myself as I walked over to the other side of his room and opened the curtains and window in time to hear him groan.

“What are you doing?” he said still half asleep

“Get up.”

“Why?” he said as he buried his face in his pillow.

“Just because two girls have just been dropped off into camp...”

“Girls?” he said picked up his head.

“Yes. I'm assuming they are shape shifters.”

“Ok... and?”

“And I'm going to show them around and I was hoping you would come along.”

Chris let out a sigh still not convinced about getting up because of them.

“Fine, you stay here, I’ll be showing the two hotties around.” I said as I turned round to face the door smiling to myself,  and in all fairness they were pretty good looking, but Ashley looked the best and I knew if I said “Hotties” then maybe Chris would pick himself up and come along.

“Ok, ok, I’ll get up already.” He said heaving himself up to sit at the edge of his bed.

“Good, meet you outside in ten minutes.”

“Whatever.” Chris said still half asleep, I was beginning to wonder if he would ever wake up.

Knowing I had ten minutes to spare I walked into my cabin and took my hunting knife and put it on my bedside table instead of just thrown on my bed. I looked around and tidied things up a bit, I didn’t even use half my room, I had so little stuff that three different versions of me could live in here, unlike my room in the UK where I could just about live in it because I had so much stuff and random junk.

I walked out of my cabin after I finished tidying my room and bit and went round to the side where a ladder was still propped up from our mid-air-shift training with Chris. I had never bothered to take down this ladder because I still used it from time to time to sit on my roof at night when I can’t sleep.

I climbed the ladder and jumped onto the roof of my cabin. It was nice up here, you got a completely different view of camp and it was awesome, at night it was the best way to relax if you just couldn’t sleep. I went over to the edge of the roof and sat down letting my legs dangle off the edge next to the door.

“You have to sort out some stuff huh?” someone interrupted my thoughts from below.

“Oh... umm, yeah sort of, well no” I struggled to find something to say to Ashley who was below me probably wondering what the heck I was doing up on the roof.

“Yeah” She smiled at me

“Shouldn’t you be unpacking?” I asked wondering why she was even here.

“I finished.”

“What about Zoe.”

“What about her?” she shrugged and leaned against the wall “How about you get down and show me around then, and maybe we can get Chris and Zoe who don’t seem to be here.”

I smiled at her, it was nice to see someone understand the importance of being here when it was important to be there and it kind of annoyed me that Chris wasn’t here, and he was supposed to be the one who lived here after all.

“Sounds like a good plan.” I said as I jumped down from the roof directly in front of her.

“So...” she said as we started to walk over to Chris’ cabin “How long have you guys been here?”
