Healing

“I’ll tend to the worst first ok?” Ashley said as she looked at Joe “Which means Chris you’re second and Tilyer you’re last.”

“Sure thing, just fix him up.” I said as I sat back and watched her begin to tend to Joe’s wounds.

Joe flinched slightly as she started to clean his shoulder.

“Sorry, but it’s not the nicest thing ever” She said as she finished cleaning it “Did you get bitten twice?”

“Blame your boyfriend” He said slightly annoyed, I'm guessing he didn’t like looking weak

“Tilyer...” she sighed “Tilyer.... try to be a bit nicer next time.”

“It was him or me, I picked him, I kind of like my shoulder, I need it.” 

“So does he” she snapped back at me

“I know, but he was going to try to kill me”

“Fair point” she agreed and bandaged up his shoulder as best as she could, he had his shirt off and Ashley caught sight of his scars on his side, back, and his other shoulder.

“Want to tell me about your other injuries Joe?” She asked politely

“Sure...” he said in a lower voice looking down, the memories must still sting “The morning Tilyer and Chris left Mark ordered us to try and kill them. Jack took on Chris, I took on Tilyer and well...” he paused for a moment “Tilyer bit my shoulder, and then I bit his back”

“I noticed his scar, his wasn’t too bad” she interrupted 

“Yer, well anyways, then he got my side and back, before then pushing me over and getting a branch through my leg” he said slowly as he lifted up his shorts slightly to reveal the large scar on his right thigh.

“Well... next time, don’t try to kill him” She smiled lightly “Ok, give me your arm” 

“Sure...” Joe spent the rest of the time with his head down as Ashley finished dressing his arm, I must admit I had torn it up a bit since my teeth slipped, but it wasn’t too bad, she only needed to stitch up two or three times.

“Thank you Ashley” Joe said as he stood up “Not trying to be rude, but, could someone indicate me to where I will be staying?” he said cautiously still looking at Ashley. 

“Tilyer will show you.” She said as she turned to Chris “Your turn now.”

Joe turned round to me and waited, I didn’t blame him not wanting to talk to me much, he had tried to kill me and I had taken him in, he must have felt a bit guilty and slightly weird.

“Come on, bring your stuff.” I said as I turned round “Be right back, need your key” I suddenly realised it was in the main hall so I sprinted there and back, when I found it and went back out Joe was waiting for me next to the door.

“So... this is the main hall?” he said peering in

“Yup”

“And who is she?” he said pointing to Zoe who was sitting down at the table reading a book; she hadn’t really wanted to meet Joe after Ashley had warned her about him.

“Zoe” she relied “My name’s Zoe, I'm Chris’s mate and Beta Female”

“Pleasure to meet you” he said calmly, he seemed nicer than when he first arrived, I guessed the hospitality might play a part to that.

“Well, talk to you tomorrow Zoe ok, I need to show him to his room, and he needs to rest, we shall discuss all this tomorrow.” I smiled at her trying to get her to stop talking, or at least not talk.
