Dean's POV
Cas appeared by the door. "Where is she?" I need to know if Jess is safe.
"At her home. But Dean-"
"Cas, you can't just being her wherever she wants, when she wants."
"But Dean, she-"
"No dammit. Charlie is here because she is in danger, okay. She is here because we put her in the life once and now she is a target for all of the Supernatural. That is why I didn't want Jess to know about the life."
"She knows Sam."
"What? Our Sam? How? I haven't seen him in months except for a couple of minutes at the hospital when Bobby...."
"Yes. Our Sam. She got me to bring her to him." Why would she need to go see him? Unless...
"What did she say she knew about Sam?"
"She said that he lives 20 minutes away from her brother Ed's house, he has long brown hair, wears plaid, and eats salad."
"Dammit Cas. I meant about the life. Or anything to do with it."
"No."
"Well I think he's had enough time to himself. Bring us to him." I walked over to Charlie, because there was no way I was leaving her here without my protection.
"I'm not sure Sam would like us just popping in unannounced"
"Nobody does. But you do it all the time. Now let's go." Then we were in a different room than mine. The TV was on the ground and smashed. We walked out into the kitchen and the table was flipped, there were two bodies lyinbin pools of blood, and pictures were broken. I flipped one of the frames over and it had a picture of Sam and Jess in it. What the hell? She was going on about me not telling her about part of my life, that not to mention could possibly cause her death, yet she's been with my brother! Next to the picture was some yellow powder. Sulphur. Demons had been here.
"Woah. What happened here?" Charlie asked as she walked through the torn apart kitchen.
"Demons. They must have been possessing those poor bastards." I pointed at the two body's lying in their own blood. Their throats were slit and they had been stabbed in the side. "Sam must have went to make a deal for Bobby. I guess they didn't make one, then followed him back here." Although, Sam usually tries to save the person that they're possessing. This didn't look like his kills. But I also haven't seen him for months so he could have changed the way he does things. "Well he's not here so where is he? Cas?" He just looked at me. "Where is he?" I walked over to him.
"At Jessica's." My heart sank. If those two demons found him here, then more can just as easily found him at her place.
"If he's being chased by demons and she lets him in, then he is putting her in danger. We need to go there. Now." Then we were there. We were on her driveway. Sam was walking up to her door. "Sam." He turned.
"Dean?" He did up the top button on his shirt.
"Dean-" Cas seemed uneasy.
"Cas please." I needed to speak to Sam. "You can't go in there. You'll be putting her life in danger if you walk through that door." I was on the porch with him now.
"But Dean-" Cas tried to interrupt again.
"You don't even know who she is."
"That's the thing. She's been playing both of us. When she's not with me she's with you, and vice versa." This brought a smile to his face. Why? But it wasn't a happy smile more like a, 'good, now I have info on you' kind of smile. "What? Why are you smiling?"
"Because, now I have something against both of you." He put his hand on my shoulder, blood driped onto my jacket.
"Dean that's not Sam!" Cas shouted as he started to run over. Sam, or what I thought was Sam, pushed me into the bushes and lifted the mat beneath him. There was a sigil drawn in blood. It was the angel banishing sigil. He smacked his hand on it and Cas flashed away in a bright light. Sam's eyes turned black. But how? We both had the anti-possession symbol tattooed on to our chests.
"Oh ya. Your little tattoos," he undid the top button of his shirt revealing where his tattoo used to be. Now it was a bleeding and oozing burn. "Can easily be burnt off." He smiled.
"You son of a bitch!" I started to get out of the bushes and he pulled a gun on me before I could get mine. He aimed it at Charlie. It was like slow motion. Watching as his finger pulled the trigger. "No!" The sound of the bullet leaving the gun echoed in my head. I watched as it hit Charlie in the heart. She looked at her chest where the bullet entered her body, then at me. Her eyes stayed locked on mine as she fell to the ground. I tried to run over to her, but he loaded another bullet into the chamber and aimed it at me.
"Ah, ah. Not so fast." He walked down the steps to stand in front of me. "It would make me so happy just to unload a bullet into your skull. But unfortunately, he wants you brought to him alive."
"Who?"
"Like I would ever tell you."
"Well I bet you would squeal if I had you tied to a chair, sitting in the middle of a devils trap, while throwing holy water on you." My eyes were filling with tears. I wouldn't let them fall.
"Maybe, but I'm the one with the gun so I'm calling the shots. Literally." He looked back at Charlie and laughed.
"You son of a bi-" then something hit the back of my head and everything went dark.
