Chapter 27

Jess wakes up, wrists bound in rope; they burn. She winces at the pain they are causing her. Sam and Dean had gathered some vervain, ground it up and added it to some water; they sprayed the wropes with it. She pulls at them as she gains consciousness. A blanket covers her up to her neck; she remains shirtless and is covered by Sam and Dean out of respect. She has no memory of what happened prior to waking up in this condition; she starts to panic. She pulls at the wrope more aggressively, making them burn her even more. She screams and starts kicking her legs. Sam and Dean come running into the room. They go on either side of the bed and try to calm her down.

"Shhhh Jess it's okay. You're safe." Sam says puting a hand on her head and trying to hold her arm. Dean puts one hand on the blanket overtop of her thugh trying to keep her from kicking, and another on her arm.

"Jess. Jess. You're fine. Calm down." Dean says as his hands keep shifting because she is much stronger now that she is a vampire. The only thing keeping her from breaking out of the ropes is the vervain burning into her wrists; it weakens her and pains her.

She wakes up scared because Nick's mind control wore off from the Deadman's blood. She is also starving for blood.

They calm her down. Tears stain her cheeks. She doesn't remember what happened. Sam and Dean had read about that; not remembering your actions when being controlled by a vampire.

They ask her what she last remembered. She says how she remembers being caught, waking up chained then everything went black, a moment of time she has no recollection of. But after that, a cloth was around her wrist where she was bleeding from, she doesn't remember how or why she was bleeding but just that she was. Then it seemed to go black again, but she knows that she woke up on a bed with a vampire named Nick. She said that he seemed to be the leader, then she doesn't remember anything up until the point of waking up here.

Her voice is shaky. She is scared. Sam and Dean stand at the end of the bed. Sam has a concerned look on his face. He wears his emotions more than Dean does. Dean shows no emotion but feels the same way Sam does.

"Um...okay. Uh how about.......Can you tell us the reason why we have you tied up right now?" Sam asks hoping she can answer the question.

With his words being the main focus of hearing, once they stop her ears find the next most interesting sound; the blood pumping through his veins. Her breathing quickens and tears fall from her eyes again.

"No. No! I don't want to be one of these things. Help me please." She shouts remembering that she is a vampire now.

"That's what we are trying to do. We-"

"Trying!?" She stops crying. Her emotions are heightened and she hasn't been a vampire long enough to know how to control them. "You guys should have already turned me back! Fuck!" She immediately regrets saying this and starts crying again. "Oh my god. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Please help. I didn't mean it."

"Jess. Just stop for a second. Calm down." Sam says walking over to her.

"Sam." Dean doesn't approve of how close he is getting to her. She is still dangerous.

"Its okay Dean." Sam replies as he sits on the bed next to her. He returns his attention to Jess. "You aren't like the vampires we normally hunt. We need more information about this new kind of vampire and to do that we need Cas to look through your memories and find out what we can from them." Cas is out in the kitchen. They figured it would be best to limit the amount of people in the room when she woke up; even tho Cas is a celestial being. They knew that if things got out of hand Cas could come in and help restrain her any way possible.

"Okay." Jess smiles with hope. Its not a big smile, just a little lift of the corners of her lips.

"Cas." Dean calls. His arms were crossed but he drops them when Cas comes in. Jess looks over at Cas as he shuts the door behind him. He walks over to Jess. He stand next to the side of the bed.
