I pulled the door open slowly, and I saw them all facing me from the couch. Cas sat between them, which probably a good idea considering the circumstances and what happened earlier. I kept my eyes on the floor as I walked over to the chair, in the corner, across from them. When I sat down I pulled my legs up to have my feet on the seat as well. I moved my eyes to the coasters stacked on the coffee table.
"Jess." Sam said. I kept my eyes on the coasters. "Jess." He repeated himself, and this time I looked at him. "Are you okay?" I nodded my head yes.
"After they took you away from me, what happened?" Dean asked, then I moved my attention back to the coasters.
"I woke up on a couch. Crowley was sitting in a chair across from me." I said more than I thought I would.
"What did he say?" Dean doesn't seem mad anymore, which I'm happy about. It makes it easier to talk.
"He brought up the fact that I was with both of you and didn't know that you were brothers. So, I got mad and tried to attack him but my ankle was chained to the couch. Then he left and hours later, he came back with food. I asked him where you guys were, and about what the mark will do, and then a guy came in and whispered something to him and then he left."
"What did he tell you?" Dean sounded worried.
"He said you guys were getting Dean the mark, then he told me what the mark does. For the blade and what it will do to you." I looked at Dean this time. He was rubbing his right forearm.
"Can I see it?" I put my feet on the floor. He looked down at his arm, and pulled his sleeve up. I only got to see if for a couple of seconds because he quickly covered it. The room was silent, and noone was looking at eachother. "So now what?"
"Well for now, this is the safest place for you." Cas said, Dean looked over at him, like he was wrong.
"What about my parents. They're probably already wondering where I am." When I said this, they all looked at each other trying to figure something out. "Actually. Since you're all with me now, I'm about as safe as I could ever be, so why don't we go get them now?"
"Go get them?" Sam looked confused. "They can't stay here." What was Sam talking about? Shouldn't they be safe too?
"They're my parents." I stated once again.
"No Sam's right. If you're not with them, then there's no way for Crowley, or anyone, to tie them back to you. Meaning that they'll be safe." I looked at Dean when he said this. How could they deny my parents the same amount of safety as me?
"No. I'm not leaving my parents without knowing they'll be safe." I stood up and walked into Sam's room.
"What are you doing?" Dean called out from the other room. I was getting my shoes on, so I could go home. I walked over to the couch, stepped in front of Dean. I needed some way out of this place, so I tried to get his keys from his pocket. Obviously me randomly reaching towards his pocket caught him off guard. "Whoah! What are you-" I got his keys, and he noticed so I tried to run to the door but he grabbed my arm. "Nice try."
"Let go of me." He was standing now, and I was trying to free my arm. He grabbed the keys from my hand with his other hand, then let go of my arm.
"I'm sorry but you we can't let you do this. If you go home, you're putting your parents in danger. You have to understand that we're doing all of this to keep you safe." Dean put the keys back in his pocket.
"Why do you even care if I'm safe. I hurt you."
"Its what we do."
"I'm also the reason why you have that mark." The guilt was hitting me and my eyes started to fill with tears.
"Getting this mark was my choice. I chose to get it-"
"Ya to keep me safe! Which you didn't have to do!" The tears in my eyes blurred my vision, so I would blink to let them fall down my face.
"Yes, I did. You would have been dead right now if I didn't do it. And I wouldn't have been able to live with myself if I did let you die!". I didn't reply, but I needed to get home to my parents. I needed Dean's keys, so I kicked him in the crotch. He fell to the ground, and this is when I grabbed his keys.
"What the hell!" I heard Dean yell as I ran out the door.
"Cas." I heard Sam yell, and I could only assume that he sent him after me. Dean's car was parked on the other side of the street. I ran over, and put the key in the door. I looked back to see if Cas was behind me but he wasn't. I unlocked the door, and quickly buckled up. My hand was shaking as I put th key in the ignition.
"Jess stop!" I heard Sam yell as he came running over. I turned the key and pushed down the gas. The tires squealed as the tires tried to grip the road, and once they did, I was gone. I looked in the rear view mirror to see Sam come to a stop. I felt bad for kicking Dean, but I needed to get home, and he left me no choice. He's probably furious with me, not only cause I kicked him, but also cause I stole his car. But, all that I care about right now is getting home to my parents.
