"So, you're saying... your blood caused her powers to be altered?"

Jayla and Kaine sit, alone, in the briefing room, talking.

"Exactly."

"She has fire powers... that'll make suit design much more expensive."

"We could use my old suit, made of unstable molecules, and recolor it. Maybe also adjust the size a bit."

"That could work too... she seems to also be taller as a result of your DNA, meaning your suit should fit well."

"Well, looks like we're siblings, at least through clones we are."

"Well... that's odd to think."

"It is. But, right now, it doesn't matter. We have work to do. Let's get the suit to the SHIELD agents we need to, then we head out. She can make do with some extra clothes for now."

"Okay, let's go then."

The two walk out, Kaine heading for the locker he kept his suit in, and Jayla walking to Delia's room.

Jayla reaches Delia's room, knocking on the door. Delia notices, looking up from her book.

"Come in, it's unlocked."

Jayla opens the door, staying outside.

"Come on, we need to get prepped to head out."

Delia gets up, walking out of the room, behind Jayla.

Kaine opens the locker, reaching inside and grabbing his old suit, which he last used nearly 2 months ago. However much he hates it, and feels that getting rid of it is like shedding old skin, he can't help but hesitate. He doesn't know why. He pulls it out, walking to meet Jayla, Delia, and Sapphiri.

Sapphiri walks out of the Med Bay, done with all the tests she had to finish. Kaine finds her, after turning in his old suit.

"Come with me. We need to go find Jayla and Delia."

"Okay."

Eventually, the four meet up next to the Quinjet.

Jayla opens the hatch, beginning to inform them as it opens. "So, everyone ready? I'm taking the silence as a yes. Now, we need to find where the Jackal's hiding, since he found the tracer Kaine put on there."

The hatch finishes opening, the four walking in.

"Oh, I almost forgot."

Jayla hands a small pouch to Sapphiri.

"In there are some pellets of magnesium. When you light magnesium, it takes a lot to put it out. So, don't use them unless absolutely necessary."

"Understood."

3 hours later, the team lands. They've narrowed down the location to here. Everyone walks out, Kaine cloaking almost immediately, and into the warehouse. Delia opens the door, to find multiple empty pods filled with yellow fluid, each with a touchscreen monitor next to it. In the back, the Jackal stands in the shadows. Before anyone can do much, Sapphiri bursts into a ball of flame, flying at Ben. Before impact, he takes a chair and whacks her onto the floor with it. She gets back up, attempting to punch him, only for her hand to be intercepted. Ben picks up a knife, slashing at her face, cutting her over the left eye.

"I made you, and this is how you repay me? Well, I guess not everyone has a good ending. It's a shame you didn't live longer."

Ben raises the knife, but Delia runs at him, pushing him to the floor. She repeatedly punches him, until a clone of Doctor Octopus lifts her off, throwing her into one of the empty pods. The glass shatters, allowing the yellow liquid to pour to the ground. Suddenly, Octavius' clone falls to the ground, Kaine uncloaking behind him. He runs to Delia, dragging her out of the puddle of ooze.

Sapphiri slowly gets up, the Jackal having gotten away.

"Damn it!"

Kaine looks over at her. "There isn't much that could have been done, Sapphiri."

"Yes," Jayla says, "There is. She shouldn't have rushed in like that."

"Jayla, she's new at this."

Jayla directs her attention to Delia.

"You should take it easier on her."

"She's right. You shouldn't be that harsh."

"So nobody else thinks she screwed up?"

"She did," Delia says, sympathetically, "but you can at least be less harsh about it. She's been alive for about a day."

Delia walks out, exasperated, towards the jet. Kaine follows, helping the injured Sapphiri out with him. Jayla rolls her eyes, following them. They take off, heading for the next warehouse.
