Time. It's something not everyone has the luxury of. It can be given, or taken away. People die, but miracles happen sometimes. Kaine has learned that, regardless of what happens, he must cherish that life, as it may well be his last. There's always been a "miracle" for him; though he thinks otherwise. He learned that he has not more than a few days left to live. He doesn't care, as he is doing what he always wanted to in life. What's right. He always intended to do so, however flawed his execution was.
Two rooms over, Sapphiri sits, throwing darts at a wall. Her new suit lies on the ground beside her. She's been alive for about a week. She has been blessed with life. She doesn't want this life, however. She wants to live normally; being thrust into this lifestyle is extremely stressful. She wants a taste of normal life, without an order to follow all the time, or someone to attack, or someone hovering like a helicopter over her. While it's inescapable for her, she can't do anything about it.
Someone who could always change their lifestyle, Jayla, sits in a chair of ice that she formed earlier today. Not every decision she makes is perfect. For her, being a SHIELD agent is tough. Having a clone to deal with; one who knows almost nothing, for that matter, is not easier for her. But, without this life, she doesn't know what she would do. It's not just her job, it's her life. She grew up in an orphanage for about eight years, then she was taken in by SHIELD. Since then, she's always been a part of it, and, in a way, it became part of her. She can't live without it. It's the only thing keeping her there. She has the option to leave, but not the choice.
Our alien clone friend Delia sits in her room, reading a book. She's not really gotten the limelight yet. Mostly it's just Kaine and Jayla handling everything. She never liked this, but her life would go the same if she left. Always being controlled from afar, either by dead people or people in another galaxy. At first she was like Sapphiri. She actually started a normal life, but it was taken from her almost instantly. Leaving here wouldn't be a bad idea for her, yet she stays. Why? Not even she knows.
