*Nicki Pov*

I was drunk out my mind, rambling on to Jake about how global warming would cause my ice sculpture to melt. Hey, don't judge me, I was drunk, and that thing was really expensive. It wasn't as if I payed for it though. This whole party was payed for by my parents. I guess it was just their way of apologizing for basically ignoring me my whole life. Of course I didn't forgive them yet, but what kind of person would I be if I didn't even let them try to make it up to me?

I suddenly felt bile rise up in my throat, and made a mad dash for the bathroom. Sadly, I didnt make it and just threw up on the floor. Great, now I had to clean that up.

My phone rang, and I answered it without bothering to check the caller Id. I heard Serena's voice on the other line, but couldnt hear what she was saying, so I went into the bathroom. I had to push through all the people dancing, and when I made it to the bathroom, I closed the door behind me.

"Serena!" I slurred, stretching out the last letter of her name. "Why aren't you here?"

"Nicki, I need you to give me the address of the hotel you're in right now."

"What hotel?" I hiccupped. "I'm sitting in a bathroom."

"Where you're having your party dipshit!" She screamed at me.

Well that wasnt very nice.

I felt the need to throw up again, so I had to call her back. Obviously when I'm not drunk

"I have to get off the phone. Too much alcohol. I need to throw up." I said before hanging up and throwing up everything that I had consumed within the hour.

Jake soon came into the bathroom and began rubbing my back. He was such a good boyfriend.

I barely noticed Leah come in and talk to Jake, but I was too busy throwing up. Once I was done I had sobered up a little, but was still slightly drunk. I sat next to Jake with my back to the wall, and he scrunched up his nose at me.

"That was so attractive." he joked. I shoved him playfully,  but he just put his arm around me and pulled me close.

"Im sorry about that by the way. I drank way too much tonight" I grimaced.

"Its obvious that you're trying to get something off your mind. Is it your grandmother?" He knew me do well. I shook my head.

"No. My parents."

"Elaborate"

I took a deep breath. "Well, They're trying to make up for the years that they basically abandoned me."

"Well thats a good thing, isnt it?" he asked with a confused expression on his face.

"They're trying to buy my love. They paid for this party,  my clothes,  and they even got me a new car. I just wish they could see that I just want to spend some time with them. Money seriously doesnt by happiness." I concluded, playing with Jake's hair.

"Well, you have to appreciate their effort. They probably just dont know how to make it up to you. Maybe you should talk to them about it." He suggested. There was a comfortable silence in the bathroom as I thought about what he said. Maybe I should talk to them about it, but I'll just save that for another day.

I got to my feet and held out my hand for Jake to take. "We better get back to the party." He took my hand, and we walked out the bathroom together.  The first thing I noticed when we got back outside was Kendall with his arms around a crying Leah. I quickly made my way over, my anger quickly boiling up inside of me.

"What the fuck did you do to her?" I yelled at Kendall, pulling Leah away from him. Leah wiped her eyes. "Leave him alone Nicki, it wasn't his fault."
