Chapter 4: The Battle of Fairy Tail

The picture is the image of Jamie. Just imagine him(though Jamie is a girl, and the person in this image is a guy) having shoulder-length hair. Hope you guys like the story!!

The Third person's POV

~at the treehouse~

"Morning." A certain blonde walks out of the treehouse and saw the black hair girl wearing the jacket that he lend her, collecting tree branches and twigs for the fireplace. She turns her head to the blond and nodded as her greeting. Quicken her steps, she runs back into the treehouse to put the twigs and branches into the fireplace. The Thunder God Tribe and Laxus stayed through the night to look after the little kid. Laxus is worried that if they leave, her sickness may have worsened and she might have died. They used the fur beside the bed and slept through the night beside the girl's bed. When Laxus woke up, the bed was empty, so he went out and search for the girl.

"You shouldn't get out of bed. You're still sick, you know." Laxus stand beside of the girl, watching her carefully let up the fireplace. The girl turns to stare at Laxus with her blank face. The mystical blue of her eyes reflects Laxus' bronze tender eye. Laxus hold out his hand to stroke the girl's hair. Surprisingly, the girl didn't flinch away and stay put. Laxus thought it's an okay sign and went on touch the girl's hair. She accepted and look down at the floor as Laxus slowly stroke her hair. Laxus squatted down and look at her face. A tint of blush is shown on her face while she keeping her eyes closed.

She's kind of cute.

Laxus let out a small laughter and look at the girl who silently letting the blond stroke her hair. She seems to be enjoying the stroking of her head as Laxus notices the small smile is shown on her face.

She's like an animal.

"May I ask what's your name?" The girl blinks her eyes open. Her expression remains blank as her rosy lips start moving by itself. A soft, yet hoarse voice crept out of her mouth.

"....Jamie.."

This is the first time Laxus heard her voice.

The third person's POV

~at Fairy Tail Guild~

"Haaa...." the master of the guild, Master Makarov let out a long sigh due to his no-good grandson's rebellion towards the whole guild, using the girl members in the guild as hostages to force the male member, which is most of the guild member, to join the hideous game. Makarov sat on the bench and sigh again. He's facing the statues in front of him, Erza's statue is cracked and Erza had gone out to fight for the guild, but the others remain as status. He's thinking ways to at least save the other female members. They are still too young to die like this.

Especially Jamie, the fourteen-year-old girl, who brightens the members every day.

She just a little girl, Laxus. Just a little girl.

===Flashback====

"What are you guys doing!? Getting Jamie involves in this!!!? He's just a child!!!!" Makarov shouted at the four villains, who stood on the stage with the wicked smile on their faces.

"Huh? What do you mean old gag? He's still a member, right? A useless piece of shit." The other members are fuming in anger, he dares said to Jamie. The little mage, who always waits for their return, no matter how long it is, he still waits, sitting in front of the gates, waiting for the Thunder God Tribe and the lightning dragon slayer mage and welcome them with welcomes arms. Even though most members had already hated the arrogant lightning mage due to the incident of the Phantom, Jamie had always supported them and never hated them. He even tells the others to forgive what he had said and now, Laxus is saying Jamie is useless.

It is unforgivable.

"LAXUS!! THAT'S UNFORGIVABLE!!! JAMIE IS ONE OF OUR FAMILY MEMBER!! YOU CAN'T SAY THAT TO HIM!!!" Natsu shouted out from the crowd. His voice is full of anger and disappointment.  "HE'S THE ONE WHO HAD ALWAYS WAITED FOR YOUR RETURN AND NOW!!! YOU JUST HAVE TO BE THIS MEAN TO HIM!!?"

"I care less. He's just a weakling that need to be taken care." Laxus turn to Jamie's statue. His smirk had widened as put a hand on Jamie's head.

"If you guys wanted an example, I can crash Jamie's status right now. Do you guys want that to happen, huh?"

"NO!!"

"Then join the game and challenge me. You will have them free if you guys won me. Remember no rebellious action against my words." The Lightning God laughed as he slowly disappeared from his place.

===End of Flashback===

"I'm sorry, Jamie. I'm sorry that my grandson said such horrible things to you." Makarov turned his head to the left side of the line. Jamie, which is frozen in a statue, stood beside the other companions. Compared to the other contestants, she looks rather calm, depressed and stoic. Makarov stares at the statue as he realized a small tear run down her cheeks froze in place. The tear had stopped in the middle of her cheeks as her statue was looking up to the person. Makarov had his eyes widen as he quietly wept for the little girl, who can not cry for herself at this moment.

"I'm sorry..."

Crack.

Makarov looked up and saw Jamie's statue face is cracked. The crack slowly spread through her face and down to her neck.

Crack. Crack. Crack.

The cracking sound echoes into the Master's ear. Makarov turned his head to the other statues and saw the cracks from different places. In one split second, all the statues have broken down and the girls are free from the curse. Confused on what had happened, Natsu had explained the situation to the girls, including Jamie, who just sat at the corner of the stage, listening to Natsu's word.

"Then that's what happened and you guys are taken as hostages." Jamie shivered at the words that had spoken through Natsu's mouth. She knows that Laxus' hatred toward the guild, since the incident that happens during Gajeel and Levy's conflict but using members as hostages is hideous. She looks up to the ceiling with a disappointed look.

Laxus. Why are you doing this?
