Chapter 33: Temptation

"Sorry for hurting you."

The presence of the man behind her approached closer as Quin nervously froze. Her mind was blank when she felt something touches her shoulder as blood rushed her face, presenting a redden embarrassed face.

Wh-why did he kiss me!??!

She couldn't turn around and gladly accept the kiss on her shoulder as a joke, nor she could just turn away from the situation. For her, a person that never experience romance mystified and froze with embarrassment. She could only lower her head with her lip tight, preventing herself from leaking her scream of embarrassment, yet her body responded with quivers of happiness. As Laxus saw Quin's reaction, he leaned back with a tint of blush on his face.

Why is she this cute?

Despite he was tempted to immediately pin her down and do all those embarrassing stuff toward this woman, he's a person who know the bottom line. In his consciences, he was warned that this woman was a stranger that they had just met. He immediately controlled his desires and turned away from the woman. The appearance of Quin was never the reason for him to be attracted to him, if solely for that reason, Mirajane and Cana would be one of his girlfriend. Reminded the reason why he was attracted to her, Quin's presences were similar to Jamie's, somehow she was able to calm, smooth his irritation when hes with her, just as how Jamie's presence was able to calm Laxus down. He started to felt ashamed for himself as he realised a significant truth.

He was only using her as the substitute for Jamie.

Furrowed his eyebrows, he realised that he has no feelings towards the existence of the woman named Quin, the one that he was chasing all along was Jamie as he unconscionably overlapped Quin with Jamie.

What a horrible person I am. Unconscionably uses someone else to try replacing her.

Slightly sighed at his realisation, Quin who sat beside him noticed him sighing, turned around and questioned his attitude until an announcement from the hall speaker interrupted the moment. 

"Next match Yukino Agria from Sabertooth and Kagura Mikazuchi from Mermaid Heel, please come to the stage."

Laxus expressionlessly stood up from his seat, dragged his foot towards the door.

"Let's head back. The others may be worried." With Quin behind him, he waited for Quin's response. Quin raised her head and blankly nodded, slightly worried at the disappearance of the mood just now.

Does he regret that he had kissed me on the shoulder? 

With a grimed smile on her face, Quin stood up with her wedding dress slightly wrinkled. They walked through the alley with matching wedding dress and suit, yet they had been looking at the other side.

"T-THE MATCH IS OVER! THE VICTOR IS MERMAID HEEL'S KAGURA MIKAZUCHI!! SABERTOOTH...! UNBELIEVABLY HAD ZERO POINTS IN DAY TWO!!!"

The crowd shouted with excitement along with the other guild members remain shocked. In the crowd, there's one man realized his kill intent as the crowd quickly retreated away from the figure. There were some resembles with him and the founder of Sabertooth, Jiemma, yet much younger and much more rebellious. Mervin Orland, the older brother of the Orland family, glared at the scene with hatred, feeling the humiliation of the loser in his guild.

That loser is not worthy with that guild mark.

He stood up with a huff and turn around leaving the ground. On the other side of the audience seat, Quin stood in silence, observing the newly entered member. Her eyes never left the bluish white hair girl, a suspicion was raised through her intuition. She felt that the girl have not give her all towards the opponent, ending the match with Kugura's sword.

What is she hiding?

Suspicious her motives on Sabertooth, Quin was pondering the possibilities behind her application, slowly returning to the Fairy Tail member from the audience seats. Walking through the arcade, She had her eyes down to the floor, thoughts laid heavy in her head. 

Bump!

"Owww...I'm sorry. Are you alri-" With all those worries in her head, Quin bumped into the someone on her way back to the Fairy Tail's assigned seats. Apologising immediately, She looked up from her fallen position, yet stopped in the middle of her sentence, aghast at the appearance of the man in front of her.

"Piss off, trash." With his murderous glance and cold expression, he walked over, kicking Quin to the side and without looking back, he walked away. With the strong pressure of the kick, Quin was pushed to the side with her bruised shoulder further worsen from the force of being pushed aside. Quin stayed on the ground for a while until she stood up with the support of the walls. Giggles were echoed in the arcade.

"Oh damn. That man-"

No one would noticed the girl with blue-black hair who always had a gentle smile on her face, with one hand brushed her fringe away, revealling a viciousness smile

"-really irritates me. It seems like i have to return as quick as possible. Hurry up and take a move now Sting~"
