Chapter 28: Reunion and invitation

The Third Person's Pov

"One beer here, Quin-chan!"

"Hai, I will bring it quickly to you later!" Turning her back towards the bar door, Quin/Jamie continued her work, delivery food, and beer to the assigned tables, cleaned the tables after the customers left and greet them when they entered the bar. It's the first day of the Grand Magic Games, therefore the bar is packed with people until midnight when the customers started to go back to the house, preparing to watch the competition next day. She finally let out a sigh as if she finally can breathe. Another jingle of the bell as Quin quickly stepped up from her sitting position on the tables and greet the customers with a smile.

"Welcome to Bar Sun! How many-" She stopped in the middle of the sentence when she saw some nostalgic, familiar faces. In the middle of the crowd, she recognized the blond spiky hair with the usual coat over his shoulders, giving the impression of prideful, callous person.

Laxus!! She almost burst out tears, shouted out to him to make him realized that she's just right in front of them, yet her throat was plagued by some kind of virus, preventing her from saying anything. Series of simulations run through her brain as she started to panic.

Calm down, Jamie! They are here doesn't mean that they realized you are the Jamie seven years ago. That's right I'm now Quin, and Lucy is here to help me if I got myself into trouble.

"Ojou-chan, Can you give us a few tables because we had a lot of members coming?" Snapped out from her staring, she mentally slapped herself from gazing at her first crush, quickly she prepared a few tabled for all the Fairy Tail members. The members quickly sat down and started to order beers and other food. With a bright smile and silvery voice, she forged her identity while sighing at the misfortune that she had.

I should ask Lucy to help me out if I need any help.

"Oh! It's Lucy's cousin!" A certain blue cat cried as he drove into the certain black-haired girl's chest, mischievously taking advantage of the situation at the moment.

"Long time no see, Quin!!"Surprised at the sudden hug, Jamie froze at the place, tempted to pull the perverted cat out of her breast, yet before she can take any action, a certain blonde pulls the cat away from Jamie and throw him to the stone walls, leaving Jamie only sweat-dropped at the scream of the cat.

"Stop harassing my cousin, you prevented blue cat!!!" Lucy, who suddenly appeared from behind, glared at the cat with an irked mark on her forehead. Quin could only sigh in relief, as she almost exposes her true personality when Happy rubbed his face on her breast.

"Hm? So you are Lucy's cousin?" The black haired ice mage appeared behind Quin, which made her heart almost pumped out of her chest at the close distance between her and the Ice Mage and blushed into different shades of red.

"A-Ano, you are very close!!!!" Slightly frustrated and pushed him away with her abnormal strength, which causes the ice mage who originally stood next to her, flew a few tables away and hit his back to the wall. When she realized her mistake, it's already too late. Beads of sweat started forming on the side of her face.

Damn! I almost revealed myself.

Nervously, She quickly went to Gray and trying to help him stood up.

"Wow, that's some strength you have."

"S-She's been doing that ever since she's small. It's a habitat for to react that way due to her shy nature." Lucy quickly covered Jamie with an excuse, slightly twitching her eyebrows and sweated at the abrupt action that Jamie took. At the side, A woman with navy blue hair clenching her teeth glared at the waitress, who actually shivered under the instance glare. Jamie could only sweat-drop when the signature phrase, "another love rival!" was heard through Jamie's sensitive hearing.

Jamie unconsciously turned to a certain blonde in the room, while the others are eating, cheering happily around the bar. She silently giggled at the blonde being annoyed at his teammates.

That's right, Jamie. I couldn't go back anymore.

A hint of sadness hid underneath the waves of blue, covered by a screen of hazel. Jamie could only sigh in disappointment and took another deep breath as she delivered the food and drinks to the assigned seats. When she came across Laxus table, she could barely wear the signature benevolent smile. Laying down the beers and the dishes, she decided to make a quick bow and turned around until a certain cheeky puppet master called the girl out.

"Yo, Quin. Long time no see."

This bastard! He did it on purpose!

With the guiltless smile, Bickslow held the mug that was delivered and smirked as if he had seen through her feeling towards Laxus. Holding on to the image that she had, Quin turned around with a benign smile as a reply.

"Long time no see, Bickslow. Or rather I really don't want to see you guys here." Quin whispered quietly the last few words as it's only for Bickslow to hear.

"Ouch, that really hurt my feelings you know. In fact that I'm the one who introduces the members to this Bar to help your shop gain a little profit, is that the reward for my effort?" Bickslow held his hands on his chest as he made an expression that he's slightly hurt, which irritates Quin, as it's evident to see the twitched in her eyebrows.

"Like I care. Most likely that using those cursed eyes of yours that could see that my soul is in this place, so you decided to enter. Am I correct?"Smiling brightly, Quin tried are not to get her irritation on her.

"Bingo! You got it! Your soul has a specific tint of blue in it that's why I know it's you immediately!" With such cheerful tone, Quin could only sigh at the troublesome kid, or also know as her previous teammate.

"You know that I don't want to be exposed, do you?"

"Yep!"

"And why have you purposely invited the whole guild into our bar?"

"Is it thrilling?"

Quin sighed again, annoyed by his attitude. Stress is piling up in her as it reflected her eyes. She then turns away.

"Just please don't expose me yet, Bick-nii."

"Okay! Putting that aside-,"

"-do you want to come to the Magic Games?"
