Third person's POV
What have I been doing here?
Under the sunlight, the crowd cheered for the participants entering the stage, yet unnoticed at the corner of the fairy tail guest room, there's a certain woman sighing in frustration.
"When did I even come? I don't even have magic."
Silently whispering the words between her lips as she sighed at her appearance at the Games as a fairy tail member. An certain emblem on Jamie's left shoulder that made her regret the decision.
Why did I even accept the purposal?
"Eh?!!! To the Grand Magics?"
"Yep, come. You have magic with you, do you?" Bickslow slowly hinting with his smirk as if he's threatening the waitress that there's a possibility for him to expose her identity. Slightly irritated at the question yet before she could answer, another voice interrupted.
"Eh? Quin you can do magic?" A woman with white hair suddenly popped up at her side which make Quin shuttered. Her question caught others attention and asked the young waitress the same question, amusingly the owner was also amazed at the news. Shyly and tiredly, Quin could only given in.
"Yes, I do use some magic, yet it's not beneficial at all. I got exhausted every time I tried to use magic." She let out her hand as a small orb float on her hand. The orb glows brightly as it brightens the whole room.
"I could use light magic. But the maximum time I could use it jus one hour, or less. I will get exhausted after using for some time."
"That's so cool! Fight me, Quin!"
"Natsu, she couldn't it's not even a magic for using in battle." Lucy quickly rejected Natsu's idea as she know Quin's situation. She gave a small peek at the waitress and furrowed her eyebrows, worried at the girl's situation of exposing herself as a Mage.
"So how's it Quin? Going to the Grand Magics with us?" Bickslow smiled as his plan is processing the way he wants, yet Quin who notice his intentions could only pout in return. She was about to accept it until she remembered a certain rule.
"Sorry, Bickslow. Even though I'm a Mage, I couldn't join with you guys. I'm not a Fairy Tail member." Forgotten the crucial fact, that she not Jamie, a kid who was in fairy tail, always desperately waiting for their return, in fact an adult that travels around the world, Bicklow could only mentally clicked his tougue as response. A victorious expression was held on Quin's face, until she heard the Master of Fairy Tail, Makarov Deyer, made an unexpected request.
"How about temporary joining Fairy Tail to see the show, Quin?"
"Eh? I can't do that!"
"Yea, Master! Quin never liked to be restricted in one place, she usually travel months before coming back home." When Quin reacts the idea, she quickly rejected it as Lucy quickly noticed her intentions, supported her at the back.
"It's not like I'm going to ask you to stay in the guild forever. Try joining experiencing as a guild member with your cousin for a few days is not a bad thing, isn't it?"
Makarov grinned. With another hand with a familiar stamp, he patiently waited for the waitress reply. Quin let out a uncomfortable smile, yet decided to give in.
"Quin, there you are! I was finding you." A familiar teenage girl with blond hair, half tied up side ponytail, ran towards the black-haired woman with a bright smile. She stopped, catching her breath and glanced towards the woman.
"Sorry, I couldn't feel comfortable sitting in the special platform."
"At least tell me where you are going before disappearing." With a guilty smile, Quin, responses with a chuckle. She stared out to the competition between Bacchus and Elfman, observing the heated battle against the two guilds members.
"Quin, are you sure that you are not regretting the decision?" Lucy, who suddenly popped beside Quin, furrowed her eyebrows with her eyes held a hint of worried. Quin could only wryly smiled as a reply. She stared at the battle occurring in front of her.
"I have already decided not to come back and yet I'm here with this symbol on my left shoulder." Silently focusing the words out her lips, she shivered at her declaration when she first become the Sabertooth Master.
"I came here because I wanted to see you guys one last time before going back to Sabertooth. Lucy, that's all I wanted. Observing you guys from a distance, yet I did the complete opposite. How ironic!" Slightly laughing at herself, her smiles are tainted with sadness. She held back all her feeling to be part of Fairy Tail again. It's not that it's a bad thing to become a member of Fairy Tail, yet she wasn't able to leave everything of Sabertooth behind. She wasn't able to choose between the two, so she decided to escape in order to make some time for herself, creating such logical reason as bring out the evil of the guild, or some Sacrificial reasons such as her identity as the Ranquan will attract attention that will cause harm, everything she had done was nothing but being a coward, running away from her problem.
Everything she had done was nothing but hurting other's feelings.
"I'm confused, Lucy. Where should I head?" Quin, or Jamie is confused, lost in the cross road without a guide. She wanted to part of Fairy Tail again, yet she herself was a master of another one. The place that she wanted to be and the place that she needed to be. Both are important, precious and played a huge role in her life, yet she would be able to held both of them in the same time.
"Isn't it fine for you to be confused?" Lucy, who patted on her shoulder, whispered words filled with wisdom, which made Quin glance at her. Lucy returned the surprised glance with a closed eye smile.
"I'm not the one who should pointed out this since I lived a life that is shorter than you do, despite that you are younger than me seven years ago. But I experienced a lot of things, the loss of my mother, the restricted system as a rich daughter, the adventure that I had been. Some are happy, enjoyable memories, yet there are sorrows, disappointments and sadness hidden within those memories. There is times that we all need to made big decisions, decisions that determinate your life. We fear those decision, because of the result cause changes, and psychologically speaking humans don't like changing. Yet isn't it a part of how we live? Despite that time doesn't wait, when the time comes, you will make a decision which is the best at that time. Sometimes it make you more evident that which side would you choose for the best. Despite that choices effected your surroundings, it's still the choice that you make, so don't regret on making some choice, because that was the choice the you made in the first place. Well~ all choices are yours and I could say this."
Lucy smiled again as she turned her head towards Quin.
"'No matter what decision you make, where are you going, we are still a family, protecting and watching over you.'"
Flabbergasted at the words, Quin could see a vague image of the whole fairy tail members grin and nodding in agreement. Smiling slightly as if her problem was solved, she continued to cheer for the fairy tail participants.
No matter which side I choose, Fairy Tail is always my family.
