Chapter 47: The Dragons' invasion

The luminiferous moon illuminates the empty city, yet in a certain area, a glowing spot shone brightly against the moon. In the glowing spot, there were two women standing hand in hand with their eyes closed as if they are trying to focus on something. Beneath their feet, the magic circle shone brightly as the mark behind one of the woman's back slowly dispense into nothingness. When the mark disappeared, an enormous source of magic leaked out to the surrounding area, yet due to the evacuation of the city, no one had noticed the sudden release of magic or the other word mana. The magic circle slowly faded away from the ground as the two women finally opened their eyes. They detached their hands and one of them stretches her body akin to a cat.

"Fw~ that is stressful. I would never do that again."

"Don't jinx it. Anyways, we should head to where others were. The Flower Light Palace: Mercurius."

Relaying the narrow path between the two houses, the two leaped up to the roof and continued their path towards the Mercurius. They are both running in the accelerated speed while keeping their conversation going.

"Yea, after hearing what the king said, we better follow up. Besides, it would be a pity ditching the main event."

One of the women with her cape flowing behind her held a mischievous smile on her lips, grinning as if the decision of joining the battle against the dragon was fabulous. Meanwhile, the other woman beside her sighed in tiredness.

"Don't make it sound like it's so damn easy to fight a dragon. We are not dragon-slayers, so it's hard for us to defeat one. Not to mention that there will be ten thousand dragons! Just imagining the battle ahead makes me feel tired."

With a hand messaging her forehead, the woman sighed with annoyance. The other just giggle at her statemrnt as she raised a wuestion to the woman beside her.

"Haven't you think of the possibility that you will die in the battle?"

"As if I will die in the battlefield."

"Yea~Yea~ The Empress of Sabertooth is hard to be defeated~"

"Say the one who is the master of the guild."

Disaster. Catastrophe. Calamity.

These are the word that the people in Mercurius could describe the scene outplayed in front of them. The Eclipse door was opened, connecting the two periods of time, leading the dragons entering the current Era. The dragons entered through the Eclipse door, shouting as if a horn blowing at the very start of a war. The people are terrified, especially the princess of Crocus, Princess Hisui. She had never known that her plan of stopping the dragon invasion was the welcome celebration of the War with Humans and Dragons. Her mind was blanked, shivered in fear as she just had realized her mistake.

Why did I trust that person so easily? Why didn't I check the information for the Eclipse gate before I had this plan operate?

Such thoughts were running through her mind as her eyes are locked to the Eclipse Gate, gratefully allowing the dragons entered the current time period, destroying the city.

It's already too late.

Her tears were constantly dripping down from the corner of her eyes. Her body shivered in fear when she had a predicted destroyed city flashed through her mind.

She had almost lost her sanity when she realised the result of the destroyed city was created through her hands.

She had destroyed her country with her own hands.
