Chapter 35: The Rescue

"Match ended with Laxus winning! This is a surprise! The whole guild, Raven Tail was seen unconscious in the center."

Laxus who won the match without a snatch, standing in the middle of the colostrum with the unconscious Raven tail's members surround him. He raised his fist to the air as a sign of victory. The crowd cheered for the unexpected event, mostly the female population. He walked out the stage and was greeted by cheers and smiles from the other guild members. Juvia, Mirajane and Cana praise for the hard work that Laxus had done. Mystogan just silently nodded and Gajeel smirked as he saw the score on the board for Fairy Tail team B.

Laxus looked at the fairy tail audience seat as his grandpa stared at him for a while then turned his head away from Laxus. The First Fairy Tail Master smiled cheerfully as she waved at Laxus while the members at the back gave him a thumbs up.

Where is Quin?

Raising his eyebrows, Laxus stared at the audience to find the figure of the black-haired women. Yet he couldn't find her anywhere from the seat.

Properly to the washroom?

With that in his mind, he walked with the remaining Team B members and exited the colostrum.

"This presence of magic..... I'm sure it's her..."

At the side of the empty hallways, a woman with her blue tunic and her black hair tied into a bun rushing down the hallway with a nervous expression on her face.

"Oju, where are you going? The next match is going to start at any minute." A certain guild mate shouted out for the women whose the sister of the current guild Master. The women just annoyingly turned his head towards the guild mate and glared at him. The person flinched, regretting calling her.

"It's boring to watch the two children playing in the stage. I'm going back first." With her cold voice, she turned her head towards the hallway and continued her way with her fast walking. The guildmate nervously turned to the center, where two mages using their magic ferociously fighting for their own guild.

Where did you see them playing?

Rushing her way through the hallway, Minerva followed the traces of magic that she felt nostalgic on. The hallway is emptied due to the audience's focus on the ferocious battle between Wendy, the sky dragon slayer and Sherria, the sky god slayer, which made Minerva easily ran through the hallway without being noticed. She was spied by her own brother, Mervin Orland, due to her past close relationship with Jamie and the fact that she and Jamie kicked the founder of Sabertooth out of his own guild. Suspicion was laid on to her and she's always under supervision from his brother. Yet his brother was not able to openly reject her own younger sister, due to the trust from most of the guild mates is laid on his sister's hand. The fact that her sister is also the one that united his group and the others in the guild lessen the suspicion on her. He let her have the bare minimum of freedom, yet he wasn't able to fully trust her. With her brother's attention was on the battle, she was able to move freely around the colostrum.

"Hope that I wouldn't be too late." Minerva followed the trace of magic which brought her to the small garden in the colostrum. She quickly searched for the figure that she was expecting. Brushing the bushes and looking at the trees, there's no trace of the figure that she's finding.

Wait. If she's using her stealth magic, I wouldn't be able to see her....

Minerva sighed at her stupidity of not realizing the fact that she's using a magic to avoid being spotted. She stood in the middle of the garden and pondering for the other way to contact the person that she's searching for.

Wait! If I could use the communication lacrima, I might able to find her!

Minerva hurried took of the earring and made a call with the communication lacrima. The lacrima will send magic wave signal towards the opponent that she's calling to and through the wave of magic Minvera might be able to trace the source of the other earring. With a glow of the purple crystal, Minerva can feel the magic waves expand around the area, trying to catch the other side of its pair. She concentrated on the magic waves to find the echo of the other lacrima. Within a few seconds, the magic wave detected the other lacrima as it was echoing the magic wave send out by the lacrima that Minerva is holding. With her eyes widen, Minerva traced the source of the other lacrima.

The magic waves lead her to a huge tree at the corner of the garden facing the city outside. She then immediately remove the stealth light spell that the person had cast onto herself. Minerva remembers that she had once shown Minerva how to remove her spells and rectified the words for the magic.

Along with the magic circle under Minerva, the other magic circle suddenly appeared on the floor. It then cracked, disappeared from the floor. The screen covering the figure cracked and revealed the fainted figure that was unconscious on the floor. Her face is paled and her breathing was uneven. Sweats were covering on her body as her shirt black strayed behind her, laying quietly on the floor. The huge seal on her back was still there, controlling the magic output of her body. Minerva who saw the figure on the floor bit her lips and immediately transfer her own magic power to the woman.

Holding her hand and focused on letting her magic flow towards the figure, as Minerva, herself can felt the magic was leaking through her hands. The energy was slowly leaking out from her body as she can feel the lethargy creeping in. Yet she had not stopped until she could see the color of the woman's skin changed back to its original color. Minerva let out a sigh of relief as opened a portal toward her room in Sabertooth with her other hand. Stabilising herself on to her feet, she carried the woman on her back as she slowly dragged herself over to the portal. Grinding her teeth, she held her portal until she has safely arrived at the other side of the portal.

She then dropped herself and the woman to her bed and breathlessly closed the portal. Minerva then glanced at the woman on her bed and cursed in between her lips.
