Frodo Baggins

By Legolas Greenleaf

The bravest soul
The strongest heart
Loyalty and endurance
Abound
Within this little Hobbit

An average child
To the average eye
An average Hobbit
To the average mind

This is no mere child
This is no small task
Taking on the quest
Of danger and peril

He's just a Hobbit
A child, no more
Much younger than I,
An Elf, Prince of Mirkwood.

He has become the prince of his
Own destiny
An opportunity taken by few
The most fearless of warriors

He deserves to remain in the stars
To be sung of in songs and tales
He shall not go unnoticed
This brave young Hobbit

I will always remember you,
And my memory will never fade.
I will lead the songs myself
And write tales upon tales of
Your bravery and courage

You had the strength
To do what many could not
Even I,
An Elf, Prince of Mirkwood

Sleep well, young Frodo Baggins
Sweet dreams among the stars.
