My Precious Daughter

I watch you from
My star bound prison
And place my hand
Over my heart

I wish I could give you
One last embrace
One final kiss
From a mother's love

I wail in the cold
Wishing for our
Warm bond that
Exists only between
A mother and her
Daughter

My precious child,
I watch you
My baby girl,
I hold you in
My arms
Every night
The pain is the same

Every day, all the
While
Yearning to be close to
My baby

You might believe
The pain eases over
Time
That my heart would
Heal

But it's the same
Hurt
And anguish
All the time

My baby girl,
