He's only a gardener,
Just Samwise Gamgee.
And he stayed with me longer,
On my dangerous journey.
He resisted,
While I grew weak.
He persisted,
When things became bleak.
He watched my back,
And stayed by my side.
I wish I'd never
Left him behind.
A loyal friend,
Faithful to the end.
He rescued me over
There and back again.
