Bertolt x Reader Waffles

Waking up one morning you saw the usual. Your boyfriend Bertl asleep next to you and your cat, Pepper at the foot of your bed. You got out of bed and put your slippers on. Pepper got up too she followed you downstairs into the kitchen ready for breakfast. As you poured tea for yourself you had an idea.
I'm going to make Bertl waffles. I know he loves them!
You began. Scrambling for the mix and water and butter and a bowl. Cutting the bag for mixture Pepper meowed again.
You forgot to feed her. You grabbed her food and poured it into a bowl. She purred in appreciation. You got back to mixing. After the mix was looking to be at the right consistency you poured it into the waffle press. You pressed start just was you heard footsteps.
He must have woken up early

He stepped into the kitchen

"Oh there you are!" He exclaimed "I was nervous,"
"Yeah I woke up early," you said trying to hide the waffle press

"Go back to sleep Bertl," you said

"Nah I'm up, what are you hiding?" He asked looking over your shoulder

"N-nothing," you stammered
You wanted this to be a surprise.
"Okay.. I'll be back,"
He left in the direction or the bathroom
You knew that he usually brushed his teeth and do pretty much everything in one trip. This gave you enough time to make the waffles. After waiting a while they were finished. Just before you took them on to a plate Bertl can out of the bathroom.
"Alright really what is that?" He asked
You stepped aside for him to see the waffles.
"I wanted it to be a surprise but.."

"Thanks _____! You're the best!" He said hugging you

You blushed and looked at your feet.
"Your welcome," you said
"Now go sit down!"you ordered
Bertl went to the table and sat down waiting and smiling at you.
You took out the waffles and sat them on a clean plate. Pouring syrup over them you sat them down in-front if Bertl.

"You're the best _____," he said biting into a waffle

"Thanks Bertl," you said taking a sip of tea
He smiled over to you making you blush.
"Don't you want anything?" He asked

"No I'm good. You eat"
Cutting into a waffle he placed his hand on yours

"Thank you,"

Omg. The fluff. I'm usually not like this but I decided to give fluff a try. I realized I should stick to stuff more hardcore but oh well
