The  female Titan

She killed your best friend Petra (I don't actually like Petra but meh) she injured Levi and destroyed part of your home town in Sina. You ran away from home when you were nine and found yourself in the trainee corps.

Currently you were looking through the carnage of Sina. You saw many crashed houses and blood spatter everywhere.

You saw a flash of (h/c) and decided to look closer.

It was (friends/name).

You put a hand over your mouth to try and keep tears from falling. You had seen her try to attack Annie and help Eren but after that you hadn't seen her.

She was always trying to play hero and now she couldn't anymore.

You put your other hand over her dead corpse

"(F/n)." You whispered out slowly

Petra and now (F/n)...

'You were the o-only person that could p-put up w-with me.." you cried

Hot tears fell down your hand as you let the waterworks come.

You felt a hand on your shoulder.

Hesitantly you turned around to see Captain Levi.

He was wearing a black jacket and normal clothes underneath.

"S-sir." You stood up and did your best to salute.
You always admired your short Captain,.... despite you actually being shorter than him. He was Shorty and you were Tiny.

At least that's what Hanji called you.

"Why are you crying, cadet?" His harsh town was gone. Despite what you thought he was quite,..... calming

"I just found m-my friend (F/n) dead.. sir"

"Tch, go back to HQ rest up."

You were confused but saluted anyway, trying your best not to cry in front if anyone again.

You jumped on your horse, (h/n) and rode off to the dim, gray castle. All the while you continually blamed yourself for not watching her. You were too busy focusing on Eren; you didn't see her try to attack Annie.

You left your horse in the stable with the stable boy Liam.
He waved and smiled. He, of course had no idea of the atrocities that had recently occurred.
You faked a smile and encased yourself in your now bloody red cloak. It was oddly disturbing at how red it was but it was comforting.

As you walked up the empty stairs memories came flooding back to you of (F/n).
How you used to run in the halls cleaning, stepping on one another to reach the high windows, sneaking out for food, ding dong ditching Levi at 2:00am. Memories, that you c-could no longer make....

You knew deep down you couldn't have stopped it but you still blamed yourself. You rushed to your room and threw yourself on the bed crying once again. Quickly you rummaged under your pillow for a blade. You always kept them under your pillow. Whether it was for an intruder or yourself.

Slowly you slid it across your wrist. Bubbles of blood seeped out of your     (S/c) skin.

Hot tears fell across your cheeks as you cut three more times.

"I'm sorry (F/n). I'm sorry I couldn't save you."

Suddenly a knock at your door came.  You hid the blade quickly and covered your wrist with your white shirt.
You opened the door to see Corporal Levi panting.

"S-sir.. what are yo-"

"What the HELL is this, (Y/N)!?"

At first it surprised you that he used your first name, but then you realized he saw the blood coming through your shirt.

"N-nothing sir." You quickly hid your arm but Levi held it tightly.

He unrolled the sleeve to see the four more cuts on your wrist along with scars of less deep ones.
Carefully Levi examined them and then asked, "How long have you been doing this?"

"...- a few months... sir.." you managed

"It's Levi from now on.. got that brat?!"

"Yes S- er.. Levi."

"Why?"
It now only occurred to you that Levi was actually crying.

He was always portrayed as having no feelings, or heartless. But really, he was just afraid to lose more friends despite the ones he already had.
Then, he asked again.

"WHY?! Why do you do this?!"

" b-because (F/n) died and I c-could have saved her..."

"(Y/N), you can't change what's happened."

"I know! But I knew she would try to be the hero and I did NOTHING!" You cried into his chest as Levi began to stroke your hair gently.

"Now I know no one wants me here! She was my only friend.."

"(Y/N). Let's get you cleaned up first."

'First?' You questioned in your head.
Levi led you to the bathroom and turned on the sink. Forcefully he pulled your wrist under the hot water.
You flinched a bit and tried to recoil your arm.

"Y-you don't have t-to do this.. Levi." You stuttered

"Yes I do. I don't need more of your brats dying."

Then Levi walked over to a closet with cleaning supplies.
He opened the door and found a box with a Red Cross on it.
Carefully Levi dusted it off and muttered something like 'filthy,' and continued to rummage through it.

Finally he took out bandages and medical tape.

He took your wrist, which you were hiding under your shirt and wrapped it up as to stop the bleeding.

"Come on," he said and led you back to your room.

Once there you made for your bed and sat down. You put your head between your arms and cried softly.

"Stop crying."

Levi's harsh voice startled you because you didn't know he was still there.
"Y-you can leave, you know." You said through small tears.

"No I can't. I have to make sure you don't try that  again." Levi said as he strolled over and sat down next to you on your bed.
"Why?" You asked.
"Because," Levi wrapped an arm around your waist. "Because I love you."

"W-what?" You looked at him in disbelief.

"Yes... I love you. Ever since I saw you at recruitment. I've fallen for you. It kills me to see you do this."

Slowly you wrapped your arms around him and embraced him in a hug.

You nuzzled into his neck and softly cried.

"I love you too."
Levi returned the hug. You both fell back onto the bed laughing. It was the first time you had seen him genuinely smile.

"I like your smile." you said quietly.

"Thank you."

You slipped your hand through his and leaned your head on his shoulders, smiling.

"Only smile like that for me." Levi said

You turned to face Levi and nodded.

Levi put his hand under your chin and leaned in closer and soon your lips were touching, and then you were kissing.

You pulled away and attacked him with hugs.

"Thank you!" you shouted as you squeezed him and kissed his forehead.

"You're the only person that has ever cared for me that much." you nuzzled the crook of his neck as he put his arms around your waist.

"I love you." Levi whispered
