Sometime before chapter 6. Anna (Pre-relationship)
It truly is a nice night... I take a deep breath. If I'd have known how nice it is... I would have asked Chrom to come along! I continue my walk.
Just then, I hear a low groan. Risen...
A risen fighter comes out of the trees, and glares at me. I smirk "Well, it's a shame you had to run into me! You'll be dead again soon!" I reach for my tome and prepare to attack.
Just as I'm about to attack, I'm ambushed by another risen "AHH!" I jump, and my tome flies out of my hand, and at the feet of a third risen.
"Oh, gods..." I'm defenseless!
I begin to step back. I knew I should have brought my sword! I quickly turn around and run into the forest.
"AHHHHHH!!!"
I keep running, ignoring the tightness in my lungs. Just then, my foot gets caught on a root and twists in a bad way. "DAMNIT!!!"
I hear the risen near me, and I try my best to run, only to find myself collapsing at the base of a tree.
"No... Chrom... I'm so sorry..."

Chrom
Hmmm... I won't be surprised if I run into Anna on my walk... she loves to walk on nights like these! I should have joined her!
Just then, I spot a tome lying on the ground. "What the?" I approach the tome and pick it up. "A Thunder tome... it looks like-"
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"
I hear a scream coming from somewhere in the forest. I sharply turn my head towards it. That sounded like... Anna! The scream is heard again, and I run toward it.

Anna
I push myself further into the tree as the risen approach me. This is it... I promised Chrom I would stand by him for the rest of the war... and I can't keep it... I'm so sorry...
One of the risen raises their ax, and I close my eyes.
Just then, I hear the sound of metal meeting flesh, and I open my eyes.
"Chrom!"
I see Chrom standing in front if me, Falchion in hand and eyes full of fury.
"Don't you DARE touch her!"
Chrom stabs the risen he hit, and they turn into dust. The other two attack him, but he moves out of the way, and delivers a nasty blow to both, finishing them off. It's over.
Chrom pants heavily, and turns to me "Anna, are you ok?" He kneels down to me, and his fierce battle snarl turned into a soft and gentle look of concern.
I stare at him. My emotions take over, and I begin to cry. I wrap my arms around Chrom's neck and cry. "Chrom... y-you saved me..."
He places his hand on the back of my head and consoles me "Of course I did... I couldn't watch you die... What happened?" He asks.
I take a deep breath "I was just on a walk when a risen ambushed me. I went to attack it with my tome, but another risen surprised me... another one popped out, and I ran. I caught my ankle on something and I couldn't run anymore. They then cornered me against this tree, and now we are here..." I say, crying even more.
Chrom pulls me closer "Shhh... It's ok... they're gone now... you don't need to worry." He pushes me a little bit to make me look straight at him "We need to get back to camp. Can you walk?" He asks.
I nod "I think so... let's find out..." I stand up, and once I put weight on my right ankle, I wince in pain and begin to fall.
Chrom catches me "Oh boy, you messed up your ankle pretty bad! Here." He lifts me up and carries me bridal style "I'll carry you. You don't need to worry about hurting your ankle." He says, beginning to walk.
I blush, and place my arm around his neck to keep me steady "T-thank you..."
He smiles at me "Hey, it's ok. We are always saving each other from situations. This is just another one of those moments." He says.
I laugh "Point taken. But, if something like this happens to you, I don't think I'll be able to carry you." I jest.
Chrom laughs "Haha! Probably not. You are actually surprisingly light!" He says.
I playfully glare at him "What do you mean 'surprisingly'?" I ask.
He begins to panic "OH! Umm... what I meant by that is... well... err... with how much we train, exercise, and spar... um, well... muscle mass must make up most of your weaight... I messed up, didn't I?" He asks.
I laugh "I'm kidding! Geez you should see the look on your face!" I say.
He begins to laugh as well "Gods, Anna... don't do that to me... I can never tell when you're serious about that kind of thing!" He says.
I laugh again, and close my eyes "Fine..."
_____________
While writing the chapter yesterday, I found this story in the deep files of the endless and terrifing vault that is Anna's mind. I honestly forgot all about this, and once I remembered it I knew I HAD to write it! And as I write these I remember more! Also, a bad thing for me to do is listen to Skillet while writing these, cause I can't stop myself from singing! I hope you enjoyed, and I hope you look forward to more!
