Hair Struggles

Sometime before chapter 6. Anna

"Grah!" I groan as I try to brush my very messy hair.

Chrom laughs "Haha! Geez, Anna. Your hair really gives you trouble in the morning! Now I see why you take so long to get ready!" He jests.

I glare at my fiance "Shut up. You don't know the struggle of having really long hair!" I say, returning to the mop on my head.

More and more fruitless attempts of brushing my hair pass, much to Chrom's amusement. I try to continue my work, but I feel the brush be taken from my hands. I turn to Chrom "You're not making this any easier." I complain.

Chrom smiles at me "Come sit over here." He commands. I give him a strange look then sit down.

Once I'm seated, Chrom takes a clump of my hair and begins to undo the knots with ease. He manages to conquer a large knot of hair and begins to brush it. "What did you...how did...What?" I mutter in amazement.

Chrom laughs as he brushes my hair "I have two sisters, Anna. Let's just say that childhood has taught me well in the art of hair care." He says.

"I...I don't...I don't know how I'm supposed to react to this." I mutter.

Chrom chuckles "Just relax, and let me take care of this rat's nest." He says.

"Hey!"

"Sorry! Sorry! It's just the only equivalent I can think of!" Chrom says, beginning to undo another clump.

I sigh "Well you're not wrong... Hehe." I giggle.

Chrom smirks "What are you laughing at?" He asks.

I giggle again "I just have never seen this side of you. It's quite amusing, actually. Who'd have thought you, the strongest warrior in the Shepherds, would know about hair styling." I jest.

Chrom blushes "Yeah, well. That's the reason no one knows about how I know this stuff. And I'd like to keep it that way." He says.

I laugh "Haha, ok...I'll keep your dirty little secret!" I say.

Chrom gets out the last knot and continues to brush out my hair "Your hair look so beautiful down, love. Why do you always have to tie it up?" He asks.

I sigh "Because fighting and training are not fun when your hair is flying in your face! Especially when you have really long hair!" I say.

Chrom strokes my hair as he brushes it "I understand that, but...oh well, I guess I shouldn't complain, if you make yourself look even more beautiful someone else might make a move on you." He says.

I groan "Chrom. I've told you time and time again, you're the only one for me. No one will ever take your place in my heart!" I say.

Chrom smirks "I know. I meant that it'd be a shame for one of our friends to mysteriously dissapear." He says.

I swat at him and cross my arms "Oh, haha! Very funny! You wouldn't actually harm someone who tries to get with me, would you?" I ask.

Chrom laugh sighs "Ha...not willingly, no. But you know how my emotions can get the better of me. All I can really do is hold my breath and tell myself that you're mine. And that is enough for me." He says.

I blush "Oh, Chrom...Well, you're getting better at controlling yourself, I've noticed." I say.

Chrom shakes his head "Ah, no. Let's not talk about that. We should save all the anxiety for later. Let's just enjoy the morning!" He says.

I giggle "Ok..."

Chrom finishes brushing my hair and he begins to braid it. "Oh, wow! Braiding too! Who knew you were a jack of all trades!" I jest.

Chrom rolls his eyes "Oh, whatever!"

He finishes his work and begins to admire me "There, perfect! Well, you already are, but..well your beauty has no limits, I suppose?" He says.

I groan and blush at the same time "Oh, boo! You stink at flirting!" I complain. Even though it's really adorable...

Chrom laughs "You're no better!" He pulls me closer and plants a kiss on my forehead, "Well, now that that's over, shall we start the day?" He asks.

I giggle "Yes. Let's."

No. I'm being serious. Chrom has two sisters, there is no way that he dosesn't know AT LEAST the basics of styling hair! I might write something similar to this in Parallel World or something because I find it so amusing, but who knows! Thank you for reading, and I hope you look forward to reading more!
