Courtney's POV

I wake up with a start and slowly recall the events that had happened. I fell down the stairs! Ouch, my head hurts so bad. I begin to open my eyes and was shocked to see I could actually see. As I took in my surroundings I nearly screamed. I was in a hospital!? They brought me to a hospital and didn't think I wouldn't try and escape. How dumb are these people?

I quickly scan the room. No one was around. As I try to get up I start to cry. Of course they weren't that dumb, I thought as I looked over to see my left hand, handcuffed to the bed.

I plop myself back into the pillow. I'm stuck here. There's no escape! The tears keep flowing down the cheeks and onto the white hospital sheets. I closed my eyes and start to wish I was dreaming. This is all a dream. You're going to wake up and be home with all your annoying siblings. The tears keep flowing at the thought of that. Will they have called the police? Would they be searching for me? I start to sob at the thought of my youngest sister slowly losing her battle with cancer. I won't the able to visit her for a while. Tears just keep flowing at all these thoughts.

I hear footsteps but I didn't open my eyes. Why did I have to get taken away from my family? Or what little family I had left. I won't be able to visit Mum's grave anytime soon. Or Jessica's, Marcus' or even Lucy's.

I heard someone come around the side of the bed. I held my breathe. What are they going to do? The bed starts moving and I realise I was being sat up. I still didn't open my eyes. Why aren't I wearing the blindfold? I actually like the blindfold.

I flinch as whoever it was touches my arm. I try to pull away but it was the same one that was handcuffed to the railing. I heard a chair squeak as someone sat down.

"I know you're not in the ideal situation," a gentle voice begins. "But can you talk to me?"

Is she here to help me? Does she know I've been kidnapped? Could she help me escape?

I slowly began to open my eyes and saw a female doctor sitting in the chair beside my bed. She smiles at me.

"Do you wanna tell me why you're crying?" She gently asks.

You're seriously asking me why I'm crying!? I've been kidnapped, drugged, blindfolded, fell down the stairs and am in hospital! I can't see my family! I won't be able to visit mum's or my sister's or my brother's or any of my other relatives grave! My sister is going to die! And I'm stuck here! I want to scream at her. How dumb can people get?

But I just take deep breathe and keep crying. I pulled the pillow out from behind me and muffle my sobs with it.

I feel the doctor's gentle hand on my back which causes me to flinch again. She pulls my hair out from my face and pulls my head up from the pillow. The doctor turns my head around and looks me straight in the eye.

"Listen, I know why you're here. Luca told me. I'm Ashton's aunt, Melissa but you can call me Mel. But, Courtney can you tell me the truth about something?" She asks gently. This better not be about my bruises. When I don't respond she continues. "Where did you get those bruises up your legs, back, torso and arms? Did Ashton or Luca cause them?"

Oh great! What should I say? I can't tell her the truth. Think, Courtney, think!

"Oh, the night these people kidnapped me, I fell down the stairs at the party." I lie. "They probably came from there."

I feel Melissa stare at me. I looked across and plaster a fake smile over my face. "I'm just a really klutzy teenager." I chuckle. "I've had my fair share of bruises and scratches."

She slowly nods at me and smiles. "You should get some more rest." I give her a smile back and she readjusts my bed. I shove the pillow back behind me and close my eyes.

Faked smiles are back and I burst into tears again. I slowly fall back to sleep. What a day this had been!

But I wasn't asleep for long. The nightmares and flashbacks fill my mind again.

I wake up screaming, like most nights. But this time there was someone in the room, that doesn't know what happened.

"Hey, hey. Shhh." Someone calmly says. They start stroking my head and pulling my hair out of my face. It was dark but I knew it was one of my captors.

I try to turn away from him but my left arm was still handcuffed to the bed. Why was he here? What did he want?

"You can't hide from me." He chuckles. "Are you feeling any better? Do you want anything?" He asks.

I want to go home! I want to see my sister one last time!

"Home would be nice." I mumble quietly, more to myself.

I feel him stare at me for a long time, before giving out a big sigh. He grabbed my left hand in his and squeezes it.

"Maybe something a bit more doable." He continues to squeeze my hand. Why was he being so nice? "You're possibly getting discharged tomorrow." He continues to say. "Sleep tight." He moves forward and kisses my forehead. I bite back a scream. What is it about these people and kissing me?

I didn't go back to sleep that night. I lay awake staring at the roof, all night. Thoughts were occupying my mind. Why is he being so nice? What's going to happen tomorrow? Where's Ashton? Why is Luca staying in my room? Why am I not wearing a blindfold?

I hear a gentle snore from beside me, that interrupts my thoughts. That's when my elephants, rhinos and hippos come back. My breathing slowed down and I heard the heart rate monitor beeping.

I hear running footsteps and lights been turned on. I slowly shut my eyes. I just want to sleep. I just want to sleep forever.

Ashton's POV

As I lay in bed I try desperately to remember what happened to me. Nothing pops back into my mind. Mel said I had a serve concussion, four broken ribs and a punctured lung. Apparently two security guards can cause a lot of damage. My thoughts were rudely interrupted when I heard an alarm go off.

It took me a while to realise it was a heart monitor alarm. Someone was dying. Who though? Do I really care?

I heard running footsteps in the corridor. Who's dying? I kept wondering.

The door of my room slowly opens and in walks a very shocked and shaken Luca.

"Hey dude, what's up?" I ask him. He stares at me for a while before sighing.

"Courtney." He simply replies. Memories found it's way back into my mind.

"What's up with her?" I ask, concerned.

"That was her alarm going off." He replies looking down.

"Oh gee. I thought she was out of the woods?" I mutter, more to myself.

"That's what everyone thought." He answers, plonking himself into the chair beside my bed.

"Does it still hurt to talk?" He asks.

"Not really." I reply. "The drugs they're giving me are pretty sweet."

He chuckles. "Maybe I should get some."

I laughed. "Maybe you should."
