Alessandro's POV

I seriously can't believe he has the nerve to call me! He actually has the nerve to call me after all these years? And he wants to see Courtney! He said Courtney would want to see him? Is he seriously alright? No one would want to see him!

"Mi scusi signore?" I look up to see one of the ambulance officers looking at me. "Come sono state queste lesioni causato?" (Translation: excuse me sir? How were these injuries caused?)

"Io era detto lei era in un auto incidente." I reply, grabbing her right wrist again. (Translation: I was told she was in a car accident.)

The ambulance officer nods and does some tests on her.

Finally we arrive at the hospital and immediately Courtney gets rushed away. I sigh and start to pace up and down in the waiting room.

I receive another phone call and I answer, without looking at the number.

"Ciao?"

"I'm glad you picked up. Listen I'm sorry for everything that happened between us. I just want to know how Courtney is. We were pretty close when we were in Australia. Please just tell me."

He apologised!? He actually apologised? He's sorry?

"I don't know Luca. She's being rushed in and I haven't heard anything since."

"Alright, thank you," and he ended the call.

I sit down on one of the chairs and start scrolling my phone. Why haven't I been told anything? What is happening?

I lean against the wall and close my eyes.

"Alessandro!" I hear someone yell and I fling my eyes open. I see Luca standing in front of me, shaking my arm.

"What? What are you doing here?"

"Here to see Courtney. What else?"

I sigh and shake my head. "Has there been an update?"

He shakes his head. "I just got here."

"Um mi scusi signore?" I look past Luca to see a nurse standing there. "Può io parlare a to?" (Translation: um excuse me sir? Can I talk to you?)

I nod and stand up. I follow the nurse to a quite corner of the waiting room.

"Paril inglese?" (Translation: Do you speak English?)

I nod and she continues. "So unfortunately she's slipped into a coma. We still don't know why she couldn't breathe. Does she have any family history of leukaemia?"

"I'm sorry, I won't know. I'm just her boyfriend's brother. Even then I'm not sure if he would know that."

"It's fine. Although the doctor would like to talk to you. Is there anyone else here for her?"

"One of her friends is here as well."

The nurse nods. "You can come see her but as I said, she's in a coma."

I nod and wave over to Luca. He immediately sees me and we follow the nurse to Courtney's room. I see a doctor waiting near the door and he beckons me over.

"English?" He asks.

I nod and he continues. "I really need to know how she sustained her injuries. They weren't caused by a car accident."

"I wouldn't know. We just meet today and she told me it was from a car accident."

"Is there anyone that would know?" He asks.
