~Miss Peregrines POV~

"Alma, this isn't a secret, it just cannot be discussed this minute" Miss Avocet said as if she was trying to find her way out of it.

"Miss Avocet, if it isn't such a big secret then why won't you tell me right now?" I was trying my best to keep my anger at a limit in front of the children but it wasn't as easy as I thought.

"You." At this point I am so put up with this. "What do you mean me" I said frowning my eyebrows.

"You and Derek." Miss Avocet finished off her sentence and continued saying "You guys were getting to close and if anything romantic happened it would mean going against the ymbryne rule and I would get the consequences" Miss Avocet states, I felt my blood boiling up inside me.

"You know, you could have just told me I mean like my life was ruined for several year, even before I came to your loop and you didn't even comfort me once. If you had just told us we wouldn't even be facing this problem right now and you would not be here this moment, instead you would have left this loop, therefore I don't even know why you're here. If you thought about it actual, you only cared for yourself, you never noticed how depressed I was when I first entered your loop. When I actually met Derek my life started to get better and then it shot back down after you forced him to leave. I had the urge to ignore your for months, years maybe forever. The only reason why I didn't is because you were the only chance I had to keep me alive, not that I needed it, my life was already torn but now it's getting better because now I have a family with all my wards, as much as you are welcome here, you are not needed" I said composing myself as I felt hot tears welling up in my eyes

"Alma..." Miss Avocet was about to say something but I cut her off "No I will not listen to whatever you're going to say next-" I didn't get a chance to finish because I had a weird feeling around me.

~Emma's POV~

We were all listening to Miss Avocet and Miss Peregrine arguing, picking every word up. They seem to mention Derek a lot in this argument and then Miss Avocet brought up a word that sounded like romantic and then Miss Peregrine went all crazy.

Some how I feel like Derek is half of the problem in this situation and I looked at him but all of his focus was on the two of them.

When I looked back at our ymbryne and Miss Avocet, Miss Peregrine looked to be a bit pale and frozen in place so I decided to go and ask her what's wrong.

~Miss Peregrines POV~

Please, not now I thought to myself, I knew exactly what's going to happen.

Everything around me is becoming so distance and my strength is going further away, I'm about to become paralysed like yesterday, hopefully I will actually be able to have a conversation with Caul.

The first pain hits me and I let out a soft moan, I see Emma walking towards me and I need to tell her something before I fully become paralysed and is only left with my thoughts.

"Emma listen to me, I want you and the children to stay with Derek and do not worry about me, everything will be fine and I will explain what is happening to me after I wake up again" I quickly explained to Emma as I felt my eyelids closing shut and falling but Emma managed to keep me up and I could hear here saying things to me that I can't exactly pick up.

~Miss P and Caul (Third POV)~

"Oh come on! I was just about to have breakfast" Caul complained about.

"Well maybe you should've woken up earlier" Alma said pretending to roll her eyes

"Must I remind you that I was completely knocked out after what happened yesterday, I have been sleeping for 24 hours" He answered while being sassy.

"Fair, I didn't wake up until last night but fell back to sleep and didn't wake up until late this morning so my children and Derek decided to help me m-" Alma was about to say something but Caul interrupted her

"Children? Derek? Alma do not tell me you are doing anything romantically with a guy I don't even know and had children" Caul said in a demanding tone with his thoughts. Alma thought it was pathetic they had to communicate like this. She remembered the times when they were younger and Caul used to be so protective of her.

"Ew gross, don't be so disgusting Caul. Of course I didn't do 'that' with a guy, must you know I am an ymbryne now and you should know what they are otherwise you wouldn't be here, and I have wards but I prefer to call them children and Derek is just my friend" Alma explained

"Wait then why did you need a 'friend' to be there, don't tell me you are romantically involved" Caul suspiciously said

"Oh my gosh, no Caul! He's a male ymbryne like you! He's a friend, came to visit" she explained

"Why? You don't need friends especially if they're guys, must you need to know that you cannot talk to anyone I don't trust until you're 40 even though you're like 100 years old and if you do they would most likely die. Anyways what's that kids last name" Caul said

"I am a grown women now, I can make my own decisions and his name is Derek Eagle. Is that what you want?" Alma was getting bored of talking about this.

"Oh don't you talk back to me like tha- wait did you say Derek Eagle? Like the Derek Eagle?" Caul sounded pretty dumb in Alma's head

"Yes Caul, would there be any other Derek Eagle? I don't think so"

"Oh I know him then he's also one of the greatest male ymbrynes ever created. He came to the loop I stayed at when he was like 18, he was my best friend but he left to go on a mission. He would talk about this girl with Raven hair, blue eyes, belonged in Miss Avocets loop. He seems to like her- hold on a second, what loop did you go to? Because I know you have Raven hair and blue eyes" Caul explained as Alma could feel herself blushing but was getting annoyed with Caul

"I'm not going to tell you" Alma said in a childish voice.

Moments later of silence the both of them noticed that their connection had disappeared.

~Emma's POV~

We all rushed Miss Peregrines limbless body inside the house and Miss Avocet seemed to follow us but none of us paid attention to her.

She had only been knocked out for a few moments now, something was telling me she wouldn't be knocked out for too long by the look on her face.

Every now and then her eyebrows would twitch and one point her cheeks turned into a light shade of red.

She's blushing! I thought to myself in excitement, she has never done this before and it's such an experience to see that her cheeks had turned into a different colour than pale. But the shaded red went away as fast as it appeared and her eyebrows were twitching again.

Moments later she sat straight up and breathing heavily again, it startled some of us.

~Miss Peregrines POV~

Perfect timing I thought to myself as I feel all my strength being sucked into me and getting the same panicking feeling as last time, our connection stayed a bit longer this time and I managed to not fall into a deep sleep. I jolted up breathing with relief and decided to check my watch.

When I looked up some of the children were staring at me with weird expressions. Minutes later little Claire ran up to me and hopped into my lap and the remaining children in the main room decided to join in the embrace.
