A Peculiar Fanfiction

~Chapter 13~

Note: I have no idea what to write for this chapter...so it's probably going to be boring. Won't be updating as much as used to since I'm working on a different story.

The children ran off to the dining room and Miss P told Olive, Enoch, Millard and Derek she could take the rest in.

Moments later she arrived with the rest of the preparation and they all began to eat.

The children threw glances around the room as everyone ate in silence, until Emma spoke.

"So Miss Peregrine, can we know what is happening to you?" She said in a curious tone and all the others looked at her.

"To be honest with you, I have no idea what is happening, the past few weeks has been really crazy. But as you know, you guys think I have passed out a few time, I wasn't passed out" and with that some of them opened their mouth to say something.

"But how? You fell and didn't move, you were clearly unconscious" Emma and Enoch stated as Miss P shook her head

"No Emma, I was paralysed. I could still hear you guys but I just couldn't do anything, I was only left with my thoughts and someone else's" Miss P explained but the children were clearly confused and don't understand a thing that just came out of her mouth, even Miss Avocet and Derek.

"You see, when you have a brother or sister as an ymbryne you can communicate with them using your thoughts but usually one of the siblings trigger it and it doesn't happen by itself" Miss P said and she could see that some of her older wards were trying to piece everything together and instead of waiting she decided to tell them.

"Unfortunately I do have a brother, I thought he died when I was only but a little one. Yesterday, that is what happens only, none of us triggers it and it just happened and it also kicked both of our strength out and we became paralysed and that has never happened to us when we used it as we were younger" Miss P explained again and this time the children were left speechless.

She has a brother? What happened to her brother? How did this happen?

Those were the only thoughts running through the children's mind.

"What exactly was your brothers name? What's his peculiarity?" Enoch asked

"He's an ymbryne, peregrine falcon like me and his name is Caul Bentham" Miss P answered as she faced Derek only to see him in shock

"But that can't be true! I knew Caul he-" Derek was about to say something but Miss P cut him off.

"I know Derek, he already told me. Not to mention he could be angry at you, I'll tell you the rest later" she whispered and felt like the subject needed to be changed.

"So what brought you here Miss Avocet" Miss P asked, most of the children forget about her presence and gasped at the fact she was still here

"I was coming to warn you, wights and hollows are on the loose but it looks like it doesn't matter to you anymore. Must you know that male ymbrynes are just as strong as the wights are and to your luck, you happen to have the best male ymbryne ever created under your roof" Miss Avocet said as she eyed Derek.

"What's so special about him" Enoch asked in his usual tone of voice.

"Must you know that I am the strongest male ymbryne? Which by far does mean I am the strongest ymbryne" Derek replied

"Yeah so what? Just because you're an ymbryne doesn't mean anything, you're just like our headmistress only she's better" Enoch replied stubbornly. He only said that his headmistress is better because he knows she is and he knew her all his life basically.

"Yes but an ymbryne is the one that looks after the peculiars like you. Your dear headmistress may be the strongest and youngest female ymbryne but I'm still stronger" he said and threw Miss Peregrine a playful look and she rolled her eyes.

"Yes but no. Your main skill is manipulation of time just to protect us from the outside world where we do not fit in. A peculiar like Abe is supposed to be the saviour of our peculiardom because he could actually see them until he died of course" Enoch said, he decided not to use Jakes name.

"Enough! I will not listen to you guys arguing about something pathetic" Miss Peregrine said as she stood up and gave both of them a death glare telling them to stop.

And with that they carried on eating in silence.

Moments passed. Enoch and Derek could still feel Miss Peregrine gazing at them even if she wasn't, her hawk-like eyes were locked on them even if they weren't, they could still feel it. This is why some of her children feared her, her staring is so intimidating and if her eyes could kill, all of them would be dead by now, but they still loved her of course.

Though, a loud pounding knock on the door was able to disturb all of them from their thoughts they were deep into.

Miss Peregrines hawk-like eyes automatically faced the hallway and she immediately got up to answer t but Derek stopped her.

"I'll answer it, you never know who could be there" Derek whispered but Miss Peregrine shook her head. "It's fine, last time you answered the door it went terribly wrong" she whispered back with a smirk on her face.

She grabbed her crossbow and walked to the door and flung it open. Her heart stopped for a minute therefore she couldn't believe who was at the door.

"Thank god, it took me long enough to track you down" Caul commented and smiled at his sister.

"Caul!" Miss Peregrine said and hugged her brother, all the children heard her and they went to where they were.

"Explanation please?" Enoch asked, yet again there was an unexpected visitor and he wasn't in the mood at all to greet this guy in.

"Okay, children, this is my brother Caul" Miss Peregrine said in a happy tone and most of the children were mind blown with all the features they had that were pretty much identical.

Caul eyed all of her children and then his eyes stumbled over to Derek. He was happy to see him and not at the same time.

And this is where the story begins...jk lol it started 12 chapters ago...

This is where the story of the siblings begin..nope that didn't work either. You know what I mean lol
