Note: If your wondering where I got this and last chapter's idea, I was actually writing it while I was in a hospital and it inspired me xD. Also if I don't update it's because of laziness (I usually only get inspired by the songs I listen to) or cause I'm trying to get like 2 out at once and writing both of em, forgive meh.

~Emma's POV~

After I saw Caul killing the coach my eyes wandered to where the children were, their faces all looked in shock so I didn't say anything and pushed myself through to what they were surrounding, when I saw who they were surrounding my heart stopped, I didn't even know if I was alive anymore. "I the m pargin" I said, or at least tried to, in this moment I forgot my words. I looked over to the oldest wards and Enoch seem to be in the same state as I was.

"Well don't just stand there! We all need to get her to the ymbryne academy where I can do some medical things on her. Must you need to know, I did medical things back in those days too" Derek said but none of us responded and he rolled his eyes. "Look, this may sound weird to some of you but one time a very long time ago I lost your dear mistress and that isn't happening again and since none of you are willing to help her then I will see you at the ymbryne academy, Caul will look after you and I know he will because you guys mean the world to his little sister and whatever she likes, he likes, therefore he likes you all, in a family way" Derek said turning into a wolf and grabbing Miss Peregrine's lifeless body, apparently he could fit her in his mouth which wasn't very attractive due to the amount of slobber.

"Da...Ble...shou- g te" I tried attempt talking again and it failed. "Are you saying that we should go? Because I agree" Enoch said as we all started following Caul to direct us to the ymbryne academy.

We were all quiet, nobody spoke and the only thing running through my head was Miss Peregrine. What if we lose her? What if we never see her again? What if they aren't at the ymbryne academy because they got stolen? Will she forgive us? I asked myself all these questions until I banged into Caul who stopped, when I looked up we had arrived at the academy and the sun started rising down, of course Miss Avocet knew the time to reset our loop as she would have done so but we would have to tell her what's going on.

We walked into the academy where Caul led us up about millions of stairs and we finally arrived at the nursery.

~Derek's POV~

I arrived at the academy and quickly ran inside and up the staircase, careful not to drop Alma otherwise she would tumble all the way down the stairs and probably won't live. After a long series of stairs, I got to the hospital part of the academy and plotted Alma on the bed and changed into my human form. The woman was shot in the center of her torsos which means her shirt would have to come off.

For a moment I thought about how it would be possible to get her shirt off since she had long sleeves, she always did no matter the situation. A plan quickly came to my head, I would pull her arms out from her sleeves so they would just be hanging out so her shirt can just travel down and off her body since it looked nearly impossible to get the shirt over her head. I decided to have a towel over her chest otherwise if she woke up during the process and saw what part of her were exposing, I would be more than dead.

I grabbed a towel that was located on the desk and swiftly turned around and faced Alma's lifeless body. My eyes analyzed her face, she was beautiful in every state she was in, especially now with her face being completely plain. After a while I snapped out of my thoughts since I saw some redness taking over the sheets she was laying on and placed a towel on her and started taking her arms out, careful not to make the towel fall off. After unraveling her sleeves, her arms were now exposing for the first time and I took a closer look. Scars. Scars were located everywhere on Alma's arms. I lost my breath due to the amount of scars that were on her, hoping that she didn't do those herself, I was pretty shocked but blinked back the tears and starting doing what I was supposed to do.

I started pulling the bullet out with a few tools and looked up to see that Alma's eyebrows were frowning a bit which means she wasn't completely unconscious. After getting the bullet out, I took a look at it, something told me it wasn't just an ordinary bullet. 2 reasons, first reason is because Alma would be able to survive a bullet and also the bullet looked oddly familiar, like we had one in the weaponry room so I thought that I'd talk to Caul and Jake to see if they know what it is, Jake should know since his grandfather worked around guns and things due to my experiences with him.

After putting the bullet down I decided to re-dress Alma but since there was no other clothing and the previous T-shirt she was wearing, was covered in blood I decided to give her mine, her delicate body was easy to slip into that and I remembered about her scars, which I will ask her about but since she probably didn't want to tell the children I made sure she was wearing a jacket as well. I started cleaning around and not to long after that Caul and the other children had arrived, they were all puffing due to the amount of stairs. "How idiotic to have so many stairs. I probably lost like 5kg climbing that" Enoch mumbled under his breath but was clearly audible. "Now Enoch, that is why this place is specifically made for ymbrynes, we fly, we do not walk" I said in a mocking tone.

If I can remember correctly, the little girl named Claire had just pushed her way passed me and to where her mistress was laying. "Miss Peregrine? Wake up" Claire said nudging but stopped as she lost hope, she was holding a little teddy bear and placed it beside Alma, I decided to walk over to her. "Where did you get that teddy bear from?" I asked, bending down to Claire's eye level. "Miss Peregrine made it for me when I was new to her loop, it was something she made for all of us but I decided to take mine where ever I went to, when Miss Peregrine wasn't around or busy my teddy bear would usually soothe me but it looks like Miss Peregrine needs it more than I do" Claire said with a weak smile, my heart ached for this little girl knowing how much her head mistress meant to her, to all of them. "I'm sure she'll wake up, before you know it" The truth was, I didn't quite know when she would or if wake up and as I said that, Claire's weak smiled disappeared and turned into a frown, almost like she could tell I was lying. "Derek, If she were to wake up before I know it, she would be up now!" Claire yelled in disappointment and stormed over to her unrelated siblings.
