Hey there guys! This is my first attempt at an arranged marriage story, I hope you all like it and let me know that you do so I know I'm doing ok! Thanks (:

"Are you kidding me?" I screamed.
My parents rolled their eyes at me in their stereotypical 'I couldn't care less' fashion that all rich people do. It disgusts me.
"G, why would we be kidding? Go and pack. Now" My Father drawled, waving me away with a flick of his hand.
I flipped him off casually as I stormed up the stairs. An arranged marriage! They put me in an arranged flipping marriage! Don't they only exist in some stupid made up stories?! Obviously not. Why me!
I flumped onto my bed, gathered my covers around me and let out a muffled scream of frustration. I only had one solution to this.
I picked up my phone to call my best friend, Missy. She always had a devious plan to help me get out of these things.
*I'm afraid your call cannot be made at the moment.*
"Muuuuum!!"
"I cancelled your phone. No chatting to Missy to get out of this one" She responded instantly.
I resumed screaming into my covers.

"They're here G"
I felt my heart sink inside my chest as my mother led in a family of four. The two tallest were male and both were brilliant blonde, tall and smartly dressed, following them was a woman carrying a little dirty blonde girl that peeked at me from under her little curls before retreating into her mothers shoulders.
"My, my, Georgiana, you've grown up to be a fine young woman. I'm Tony Clarke" The shorter of the two males stood forward and offered me his hand. As much as I didn't have a problem with him, I didn't accept his awaiting hand. I didn't want to make friends with these people. He smiled at me sympathetically and retracted his hand.
"I understand this is hard for you, Georgiana but we'll do our best to make you happy" He said, still smiling at me.
I had the urge to scream at him, to tell him to call off this stupid marriage, then I'd be happy but I had more manners than that.. kind of.
“G, this is Alex, isn’t he handsome?” My mother pushed forward the other male and I studied him. He was a total hottie in a nutshell. He had harsh facial structure that looked like he should have been a model and he had harsh blue eyes with big eyelashes.. Only when I saw a smirk reach his lips did I realize I’d be gawking at him and turned my wide eyes into a glare.
He smirked wider and took hold of my hand, kissing it softly, staring into my eyes. I was paralyzed by his stare and choked out an intelligent sounding hi. Note the sarcasm.
“It’s nice to meet you, Georgiana” he purred and instantly broke the spell between us. He was a typical heart breaking jerk with a signature smirk and that all too cocky tone to his voice.
“I wish I could say the same” I snapped and pulled my hand away from him, glaring daggers at him once again.
“Georgiana… this is my daughter, Zara, and I’m Linda, Alex’s mother” I broke off my stare to turn to the woman holding the child. The look on her face made me feel guilty for seeming so hostile to her son. She as good looking as her son and had the most beautiful clear blue eyes I’d ever seen. “Zara, say hello to Georgiana” she whispered.
I watched the little girl shuffle in her mother’s arms to peek at me again before pushing her curls out of her face and beamed a little toothy grin at me. I found myself grinning back at this little angel faced toddler. She stretched out of her mothers arms towards me flexing her little fingers at me, squealing at her mother.
Linda chuckled and stepped forward, setting Zara in my awaiting arms.
“It appears Zara’s adopted you already” Linda smiled at me, I flashed a quick smile back before turning my attention to Zara and listened to her babble about how she wanted me to play with her and her dollies.
“They will like you lots and lots, Georgie, you are pretty and they like pretty people. They don’t like Alex though because he’s a boy” I laughed along with everyone accept Alex at her comment.
”I think that’s our cue to say goodbye, G” My father said in his ever serious voice. I handed Zara back to her mum and turned to face my parents. My mother took me by surprise as she rushed to hug me.
“We’ll miss you, G” she whispered in my ear. “I know you’ll be happy with them. We love you baby girl, remember that.” I clung to my mum a little harder, daring to believe the things she’d just said.
”I’ll miss you too, mum.”
I stepped back from her and looked at my father. He held out his hand, a tight, fake smile on his face and a hard look in his eyes.
“Goodbye, G, make us proud.” I turned away from him and his waiting hand. Screw him. He’d never said anything nice to me.
“Ready?” asked Tony, looking a little awkward. I nodded and lead them out of the house, suitcase in hand.
Before I got into the stylish black car outside, I took one last look at the farm house I’d grew up in and smiled a little. I’d miss this place.
