“Wake up, Poppet… “
With a groan I opened my eyes and stared at Alex. Gosh he was good looking..
“Finally, I thought you’d never wake up. Nice drool.” He smirked. I glared at him before turning away and carefully checking for drool. Nothing.
“Jerk” I muttered
“I heard that”
I jumped; I hadn’t realized he was still sat next to me. I heard him chuckle and continued to glare at the seat in front of me, thinking about what form of torture would suit him best for being a jerk.
“Georgiana! Alex! Come on!”
I hadn't noticed the car had stopped moving and so this shocked me a bit. I slipped out of the car after a second and quickly wrapped my jacket closer around me. Gods it was cold here…It was night now, I must have been alseep for a long time considering it wasn't long past noon when we left my house. I'm suprised I managed to sleep at all given the fact that I missed everyone so much from the moment I stepped into the Clarke's stupid shiny car.
“Georgiana, are you coming dear?” Linda asked gently, appearing next to me with Zara balanced on her hip, the toddler shuffled sloser into her mothers neck, obviously asleep yet feeling the cold at the same time. I nodded at Linda, too scared to make any noice just incase I woke Zara. When we turned to go inside my eyes fixed on the old looking house infront of us and I felt my jaw drop.
“You own this” I breathed out as I swept my eyes over the house – no – freaking mansion, scratch that, Castle. It was beautiful. The stone walls managed to look inviting despite their dull gray colour and behind the windows you could see the warm glow of the lights inside.
“It’s not much, but its home. Now come along dear, there are people you need to meet.” Linda tip toed off towards the house, not waiting for a reply. I dragged my feet as I walked. Not much? This place made my house seem like it was a cardboard box. And it didn’t disappoint when you got inside either.
Polished wooden floors? Check. Chandelier? Check. Grand staircase? Check. Butler? Check. I was a little speechless to say the least.
“Close your mouth, G”
I snapped my mouth shut. Oh hell no, that slime ball did not just call me G. I rounded on him, glaring daggers.
“Don’t call me, G. I hated it when my parents did it and I'm not going to tolerate you doing it too” I spat. He just grinned at me and walked towards a group of people I hadn’t noticed yet. They were all grinning at me like I was a new toy; it was kind of freaky to be honest.
“Move, Poppet” Alex called over his shoulder, that stupid grin still on his stupid face. Freaking rich boys. The one thing I hate above all is someone with a god complex and, boy, did he have one, just like my stuck up parents. I have this funny feeling this supposed marriage isn't going to last long.
Still, I trundled over next to him, grumbling underneath my breat. When I got closer I raised my head, looking around the faces infront of me.
They simply continued to grin back at me. Still freaky.
“Ok, so these are my annoying family.” Alex grumbled which caused me to smile. “This is –“
“For shits sake, Alex!” The voice came from a girl about my height with short blonde hair that pointed in every direction around her head, her eyes bore into Alex's, the same shade of blue. “We can introduce ourselves.” She turned to me and smiled radiantly, the cold edge of her stare gone “I’m Clarissa. His unfortunate cousin that has to live with his grumpy ass all the time”
