Nemesis's P.O.V
I looked into the fire steadily, feeling Hera's presence as she swept into the room, her frustrated aura reflecting in the intensity of the flames. The flames on Olympus grew in size when the mood was positive, however, the hotter they got, the more anger there was on Olympus. Right now they were a medium height and burning hot.
"Nemesis." Hera called from behind me. I shuddered and rolled my eyes before turning to her. She always found me when she was too pathetic to think out a plan for her repulsive anger. "I need you to help me get rid of a Demi-God."
"You and your hate for Demi-Gods knows no bounds." I murmured, turned away from the heat to face her. She was, no doubt about it, glorious. As Queen of the heavens she aught to be, though she wasn't yet as glorious as Aphrodite, a fact I'd never voice out loud for fear of being cast away from Olympus.
"This one has no fault of her own. It is Zeus who is to blame." She spat at me, "I hold no hate for the child but I can't suffer to her live. She will be a constant reminder to me that no matter what my blood and mind may say, I am no longer good enough for lord of the sky." Her voice almost failed her on the last section of her speech, almost arousing some particle of emotion in me.
"So this would be the brilliant Georgiana you wish to kill then?" I smiled, the girl in question happened to be close with my son, they may not be friends yet but she shared the same safe house as he did.
"The child is not brilliant!" Hera screamed, her eyes burning like the fire behind me. "She may be powerful, yes, but she will never be brilliant! She has too much of her mortal side within her! I do not care for the fact that there is a prophecy surrounding her, she will be destroyed."
I nodded silently, a small smile upon my lips. "You want revenge on Zeus for betraying you?"
She nodded fiercely, her brunette curls bouncing around her face. "Yes. Will you help me, or not?."
"I will." I flicked my hand and produced a map. "This will lead you to an entrance of Daedalus's labyrinth and it will get you out of there again. What you do with the girl down there will be up to you. No one will be able to know what you are doing, not even Zeus."
She took the map away from me and gave me a small smile before sweeping out of the room, her gold and white dress floating behind her. I sighed to myself.
I was not supposed to be doing this. I was the goddess of revenge, but that also meant balance. This was not balance, this was the scales of justice being played with by those who didn't have the slightest idea of the consequences.
