Georgiana P.O.V

I may have trained for this kind of shit but oh my gods… this was intense shit.

Nothing could have prepared me for the carnage going on around me, the stench of death and the immense power I felt every time I neared a furious and powerful God or Goddess. Tyche kept me away from everything dangerous, laughing at my horrified expression every now and again as she decimated several skelebobs at once with a single sing of her double swords. I didn’t get her to be honest. She was a fairly awesome Goddess but jeez, she couldn’t take anything seriously and then then she was kicking so much ass it made her number one on the epic list! But then I guess when you’re in charge of luck you can be a little cocky about everything and just will things to go your way to make you look amazing. Though, if I were her I’d still me crapping myself at the moment and possibly running around like a crazy school girl.

I dodged around several ugly, bony creatures and almost threw up from the smell they produced and had to hold my stomach. Who knew skeletons could stink that badly? I didn’t think they would give off any kind of smell considering they were just bone but their stench made the inside of my nose burn it was that terrible.

“Hurry up, youngling!” Tyche called over her shoulder, grinning yet again. She sure knew how to smile…

“I’m not that young..” I grumbled out, dodging around another skeleton and making a disgusted look when it exploded into dust from Tyche’s attack. Its filthy bone dust floated towards me, clinging onto my clothing and hair and sticking to the moisture on my face. It scared me to see her go so badass on some of these creatures, I’d always thought that she would stay at the side lines and will luck to make things all okay… obviously not… but then, I’d originally thought Tyche was a guy, shows what I know.

“Dear, I’m too old to count. Don’t forget how many ancient stories you hear about people being lucky because I was around for all of them, sugar.” She laughed, dusting off my clothing quickly before grabbing hold of my hand and yanking me through the crowd faster. “Right, how close are we to Alex?”

“How the heck am I supposed to know?” I yelled over a rumble of thunder. “And why won’t you let me help kicking these smelly guys’ butts?”

“Georgiana, you’re the daughter of Zeus, you may be kick ass but you’re not actually allowed to kick ass, you’re too special, ducky. And as for finding Alex? Use you’re freaking heart!”

“Like hell am I too freaking special!” I screamed, rolling my eyes and stopping dead in my tracks.

“Fine! Here’s a freaking sword, move your little ass right now! Now use your cute ol’ heart and find Alex!” She yelled, no longer smiling but looking a little stressed out as she threw me a one hander sword. I felt a little more epic holding a sword and struck a miniature pose but when I caught Tyche rolling her eyes at me I just held it normally and nodded at her. I didn’t have a clue on what to do but I decided internally that I’d let my heart decide where we were going and kinda felt a tug towards the west and followed it.

Alex’s P.O.V

She was getting closer… I could feel my heart swelling as I got nearer to her, cutting down skeletons around me as I ran along with Nemesis. She didn’t try and slow me down or lag behind me. We ran at a steady pace, leaving a trail of carnage behind me, its length expanding as I felt myself being empowered by the emotion inside me. Nothing would stop me now.

The smell of death no longer bothered me anymore, I’d grown used to it and so it was only a mild sting in my nose when I grew close to a skeleton and cut it out of my path. I felt a sick satisfaction when the creatures around me crumbled to the ground but it didn’t last long because my heart gave me another short sharp tug towards Georgiana.

I was desperate to know that she was okay, to hold her in my arms and kiss her. I needed to see her silvery eyes and fire-red hair, her beautiful pale skin and breath-taking smile. I could feel everything growing stronger inside me and I was vaguely aware of the fact that I’d started to glow a dull pink colour. My muscles pushed me on and on even though I felt about ready to drop from exhaustion.

I let out a primal scream as I slashed through three of the filthy disgusting creatures that were stopping me from reaching the love of my life. They kept on coming, wave after wave but it was okay. I was ready for them and I was going to win. I was going to kill all of them if it meant I would get Georgiana back. Hell, I’d take on the entire world right now and it wouldn’t bother me.

And to think, I was a weakling Aphrodite kid only a few weeks ago. I didn’t even really know how to wield a sword for gods sake and not I was here, battering the shit out of these bone heads.

Suddenly the feeling in my heart swelled again and I changed direction slightly to where the tug came from and felt myself go into even more of a frenzy. She was so very very close…

The feeling in my heart seemed to get confused, it didn’t know where to direct me and so I stayed still and simply cut down everything there and let my heart decide for a second.

Georgiana’s P.O.V

My heart leaped and sored. I saw him there, I caught a glimpse of his brilliant blonde heart and my heart skipped up a beat and sprinted. He was so close and yet so much stood in front of me and stopped me from getting to him. I squared my shoulders and barged my way through the crowd getting closer to him. He turned his back on me and I felt like sobbing and screaming out his name but something inside me wouldn’t let me. I pushed further, desperate to get to him. I finally got to the front line of the skeletons and just about shat myself as Alex tuned to face me with murder in his eyes and almost sliced me in half. It didn’t register that I’d lifted my blade in time to counter his but apparently it did and as it did a huge rumble of thunder rolled in the sky and I felt the blades shake and shatter above us, causing some form of explosion. Around us skeletons fell from the force of the explosion but Alex and I stood fast, staring into each other’s eyes. My heart couldn’t possibly be beating any faster.

We stayed there for what felt like forever just staring into each other’s eyes before he grabbed hold of my waist and crashed his lips onto mine.

It felt like my entire body had exploded from pure joy.

Third Person P.O.V

As the two kissed a wave of pink mist exploded over the entire battle field and everything ceased to move. All over the field skeletons disintegrated, unable to deal with the wave of love that had passed over them, their heartless forms shaking and disappearing. The pink haze continued to destroy the harsh black dome that settled over Olympus, allowing sunlight to penetrate the area again. All signs of the battle were gone except the few people dotted around the fields looking confused. All fires were distinguished and nowhere in sight were there wounded fighters. The very few that were left on the battle field stood still and looked towards where the couple were and started running towards them, yelling and laughing in victory.

Georgiana and Alex continued to be surrounded by a strong hot pink haze that made them glitter a little in the new day’s sunlight and glow in a mystical way even when the pink haze had left the rest of the field. From the south Zeus walked up to them, tears in his eyes and a smile on his lips and emitted a faint golden glow. Every God and Goddess slowly joined around the couple, smiles on their faces and hugging each other out of joy. The scene was radiant in every way, love being displayed everywhere and the feeling of victory made everyone around beam with pride. From the distance ran a group of nine Demi-Gods ran up to the couple and jumped on them, separating them. Alex and Georgiana laughed and hugged their friends but after a couple of seconds Georgiana was engulfed into a giant group hug all of her own, being lifted off of the ground by an overly joyous rainbow looking girl.

“NO!” Came a scream from a few meters away, making the entire group stop and stare; their laughing and smiling ending prematurely. Zeke staggered toward the happy group looking worn out and beat up but furious all the same time. His short black hair stuck to his face from the sweat and grime covered his pale skin. “YOU WILL NOT BEAT ME!”
